...I'm really easy to be please because this makes the DLC worth it to me.

...NOW DO ONE WITH DEDF1SH

Tableturf online is a blast, I'm glad there's timer options too because I hate the stress of them when just trying to have fun

Someone tell me if us casuals should be happy with map changes or not 😛

I haven't strolled through the Turf War layouts, but since they're usually pretty close to the Splat Zones ones, I'd cautiously say there's a good deal more to be happy than to be mad about. The changes have made the maps more friendly towards close quarter scrambles - or just ducking fights altogether - and while the center areas are still small or even smaller than before to force team battles, some areas off to the side have actually been widened to give more room to paint and frolic.

Really disappointed you can't just do random matchmaking with Tableturf. We're so close, but I still have nobody to play with.... lol

In one of the Lobby Menu tabs you get the option by pressing +, unfortunately it's 4 AM here and I need sleep so I can't play 😴
Nooo okay get some sleep and rest up so I can have a real challenge :bellydrum:

It's necessary for rainmaker because of the checkpoint system. If you look at the thread, you can see that you can use the checkpoint to jump to the left side

It's disappointing, but necessary
How do checkpoints make that removal necessary, just have both routes at the same time, it's okay to make a stage better (and TC doesn't even have that excuse)

Don't worry, I'm on the same boat. It was wishful thinking, tho...
what the fuck are they doing in there????

incidentally, the music for inkopolis news is in the jukebox. is it used elsewhere in the game? maybe audible near the studio sometimes? otherwise I wonder if the feature was cut

Overall, even if I am not quite getting what I want, the changes in this patch is definitely in the right direction. Solid map changes though not perfect, Big Swig getting a stronger identity, solid specials points for the new kits, and decent special changes against crab Coupled with them making changes potentially monthly instead of every 1.5 months and the focus on main weapons, I think the game is starting to head in a more creative direction.

Danm this dlc was lazy as hell, like text reuse, terrible animations for the squid sisters, the news, hotlantis. It’s pretty bad honestly.

It feels like one of the few who keeps on getting disappointed with every new thing we get or learn about the game.

I'm surprised at how underwhelmed I am by this game and its content... And it is now almost my 4th most played game on the Switch already, with #1 being Splatoon 2.

I was excited for Inkopolis DLC, but I'm not getting it until I see what they do with wave 2. I don't see the point of Inkopolis if it's just a cosmetic thing.

Yeah Inkopolis is nice to look at but fairly shallow in gameplay. Things like testing out a weapon at Sheldon's to see if they brought the Splat 1 training room back, only to see they didn't is lame.

Still i did buy it just for Side Order and the Splatoon 1 Splatfests.

All this discussion about the update and nobody is going to even mention the most important part.

Song that goes bing bang bang is called ,'Seep & Destroy'

There's a bunch of classic Splat1 music in the jukebox that doesn't play elsewhere, it's not just the news. City of colour Maritime memory, I think won't play elsewhere for example, being the first games credit music

Uh, what the fuck?

This seems harsh to the point of being unethical... hell, with the new Pool system it'd even be possible to wander into these lobbies on accident

I don't have much sympathy for anyone stupid enough to hack their switch and then use it to play unreleased content from Nintendo's premier online multiplayer game online when anyone with any braincells would have known what could happen if they do.

Read the tweet. You get banned even if you didn't hack your switch but participated in a private battle with someone who does

Imagine getting permed because you saw an open private battle and decided to join only to get thrown into the new maps against your will

This is the exact same kind of excuse people who knew exactly what they were doing make when they get caught.

You can't be thrown in to the new maps against your will. Private battles are only on your friends list, and you can see what map is selected. If you saw that it was set for one of the two new maps and you didn't think twice about it, that's still on you.

I'm just saying, it's an entirely realistic scenario, especially when you can join friends of friends of friends. And tell me you wouldn't be curious and stick around if you saw a new map being chosen.

Have they actually banned anyone that "just joined a match using the new maps on accident" yet, though?

Because so far we have a single tweet that says if you play the new maps you get banned with not much more context, and for all i know is someone that entirely hacked their way in and got banned just flinging shit around.

I'd be calling everyone in that room who chooses to stay a fucking idiot on voice chat and be out immediately, because I'm not a moron and this isn't my first time playing a game online yes.
