Nope. Actually I found out what it was when I thought "oh god let this be the birth of a new copypasta" and then thought "wait it almost sounds like a copypasta already I wonder if that's what he was going for" and then I googled it to see and suuure enough 😅

Yeah they wanted it to be the big "one last thing" surprise at the end of the Direct this week
 
I listened to a chunk of the GVG predictions and there were some interesting predictions in there from Jon like Kid Icarus: Uprising landing during this direct along with a 2D Mario. Can't wait for the big man's weigh-in

Hopefully for you. I am hoping we do get Metroid, f zero, Gameboy and what not I’ll be fine. And maybe Donkey Kong or 2d Mario.

I can’t use my hand while bent too long or it causes issues again. Why I game no more than an hour. So, somehow, I slept on it while in a bent position for who knows how long last night and it was in a numbing pain at about 4 am.

I was staying off devices and the hand much of the day so I wasn’t on much but I did see the reactions here when the direct was announced.

If I get Metroid and Zelda I'm already sold. F-Zero would be cool but not quite a Metroid replacement for me. DK or 2D Mario are equal to Metroid for me since I've never played Prime.

Damn, that sucks but I hope it wears off soon enough and the exacerbation of the pain gets back to its normal state. Keep taking care of yourself!

It's a copy pasta from GAF. Very old meme at this point. It was originally said with a straight face by a poster mad about Square announcing that Final Fantasy game to release on Xbox as well as Playstation. Only giving you the history because I know you weren't there when it happened lol.

Yup. Grubb also just said on Last of the Nintendogs that he thinks we might not get every answer we want re: Zelda this far out from release, but we'll get the "most epic trailer ever" to make everyone realize they need to preorder this thing immediately.
 
Sadly, my obsession with Metroid Prime makes me not care that much about other games, including TotK.
I hope they announce MPHD so I can start enjoying Directs again :(

I’m a bit easy to please but I would be happy with Metroid prime so I can finish it and a good surprise would be DK or 2D Mario and maybe F Zero. And Gameboy too.

Most of the pain has wore down but some of the strain is still there. I’m wearing my hand brace that I got when my hand had those issues before when I go to sleep tonight.

Oh god, I was just overcome with dread from the realization that Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo might be announced tomorrow!
 
Prime 4 at $70 is going to be a MUCH tougher sell than TotK unless there's new hardware by the time of its release.

They've been listed for years, I think they are taking them down because they don't want people locking in for $60
 
switch 2 coming sooner than we think too. Nintendo had huge R&D increase and I think they just needed a market condition to change and launch the damn thing poor Q3 hardware sales changed the calculus. Now rolling out initiatives to soften the full software price upon transition. Backwards compatible but no upgrade process so just launching new games at higher price.
 
I’m a little mad Nintendo isn’t going above and beyond everyone else and raising the games go $80. Nintendo should be a leading trailblazer.

Okay well people thought it was coming by May so I don't think that's true haha. It ain't coming until next year at the earliest it seems.
 
Aside from DLC, Advance Wars, and TotK, this direct feels wide open. Granted, those will probably take up 10 minutes combined minimum, but still!

Yeah. I thought it was gonna be like late 2024, now I could be convinced it will launch this holiday
