sure thing! I had to stop after finding the kids, going to their hideout. Needed to clean and am hanging with friends but will definitely be playing all day tomorrow!Keep us posted on your first playthrough of the greatest game ever made
Marjorie's Mask
Marjorie Taylor Greene makes me sick too, dude.Well, I am sick now. Just what I needed.
I don't know what's more absurd - that there's no mechanism to deal with this kind of situation, or that I somehow did not know that lolI should be shitposting the thread up and tryina help keep some momentum going but I'm just so heavily occupied with laughing my ass off at my country so I'm sorry yall
Goddamn, scorched earth!I don't know what's more absurd - that there's no mechanism to deal with this kind of situation, or that I somehow did not know that lol
In Australia, there's a mechanism called a "double dissolution". Basically, if the government is not able to function to this kind of deadlock, the governor-general (the head of state) dissolves both the House of Representatives and the Senate (the full Senate, not just those next up for re-election) and there's a new election for every single seat lmao
Temped by both of these games, but I can't, no. January is for Fire Emblem Engage. I'm just going to continue playing Pokemon for now.New years NA Eshop sale is live!
Oo first sales on
Not sure if I’m ready to bite just yet tho. Quite a few things on my wishlist for sale tho. New low for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 at $12 so tempted after loving the first game.
Other things on my list tempting me I’d be open to thoughts on:
Lumines remastered at $4.50
Kloana remastered at $24
Dusk Diver at $3.50
Monster Train first class at $15
Going off Namco trends, it’ll be about 3 months or third sale when it’ll hit 50 % off for angler and Kaiju. Probably, maybe a little longer since they’re both actually new, but that’s the general trend. I can’t justify both right now but I’m tempted by ace anglerTemped by both of these games, but I can't, no. January is for Fire Emblem Engage. I'm just going to continue playing Pokemon for now.
Lumines Remastered is one of my top 10 most played switch games, if that’s any kinda sales pitch for youLumines remastered at $4.50
I got god of war ragnarok for Christmas so I hope to replay 2018 and then play that once my migraines subside. For now. I’m playing through quick sessions on fighting games. My friend is lending me his PS5 over the holiday/January period, so I recently beat God of War 2018 on PC (9/10 game imo), then switched over to The Last of Us remake on PS5 and beat that a few days ago (true 10/10). My backlog up until Tears of the Kingdom looks like:
1) The Last of Us Part 2 (played for like 2 hours so far)
2) Bayonetta 3
3) Continuing to play through Xenoblade 3 (I'm always so slow with Monolith Soft games)
4) Resident Evil 4 Remake
5) A Link to the Past (never played!!!)
6) OoT replay before TotK
7) TotK
Post-Zelda, we're looking at:
1) A Plague Tale: Requiem
2) Tunic
3) Maybe God of War: Ragnarok if I can borrow my friend's PS5 again lol
4) Disco Elysium
5) Starfield
6) Deathloop on Game Pass
Depending on what gets dated in a Direct, like Prime Remake, that could definitely nestle its way in here, but still, what a wild, mostly free year ahead for me for awesome video games.
Curiously enough my friend was talking about how he could lend me his PS5 around MayMy friend is lending me his PS5
Oh no!!! If I'm reading that rightcov’d

I think when Mario Maker came out I realized how hard even this simplified, assisted level design is. I got a couple cute levels but that was it, I thought I could pump them out easily lmao Same for when I tried GB Studios (which I NEED to get back to...).Level design is so creatively draining.
Spending hours and hours in blueprints trying to create a function to do a particular thing that I need it to do is easy peesy. It doesn't take much creativity or imagination. Taking a blank level template and creating walls, doors, doorways, props, secrets, enemy encounters, exits, entrances, interactibles, and loot is much harder since every single one of those is a completely freeform choice I need to make.
I can see why people do procedural level design.

silver lining you still got the zero key to use - how lucky the letter key that is fucked is the one with a readily available numeric replacement ;pGood news! My Switch is on its way back to me
Bad news! The 'O' key on my keyboard is still fucked despite some cleaning
I swear, my tech issues never end.
But where do I put all of my many, many puns?I don't see what's so hard about level design. Just make a big box where you can fight some dudes, then make a long corridor that connects to another room where you fight dudes, and repeat. Increase the length of the corridors if you need to pad out the game length. At the end, put in an even bigger room for a boss fight and then you're done!
damn I hope you’re feeling better sooncov’d

make a level with a big Snake Eater-like ladder that you have to climb as someone following behind you tells you progressively worse and worse jokes, and there’s a button prompt to “let go” that slowly gets bigger and bigger on screen the higher you climb. if you press the “let go” button the bad joke maker catches you and puts you back. There’s no escape. But where do I put all of my many, many puns?

Replace the "let go" with "kick the guy below you" and you're golden.make a level with a big Snake Eater-like ladder that you have to climb as someone following behind you tells you progressively worse and worse jokes, and there’s a button prompt to “let go” that slowly gets bigger and bigger on screen the higher you climb. if you press the “let go” button the bad joke maker catches you and puts you back. But do you have one that is all just slime equivalents and instant death traps?Outlining the theming and purpose of all the dungeons ahead of time makes it a lot easier to design them huh?
