gg, I'm taking a break from bow and now trying sword with QR + Haunt, maybe I'm missing something but the latter seems even more fitting than on Tetras since afaik Wiper can take on backlines more easily
It does fit pretty well, although you're not leaning as hard into the "I'm gonna jump in and run at the first person I see" playstyle, so you'll be dying less and haunting less people

I would choose sweet, but it's the BFF's turn to pick a team and he prefers spicy.
We won't be choosing teams until we see ink colors/tones, tho :p

Yup, it does.

Only noteworthy thing to mention is that Tacticooler doesn't stack with it, unless you get Respawn Punished, in which case the cooler is nullified and you get the normal (but reduced) effect of QR

Well I personally don't like Sour too much and because I hate chocolate and Aphrodite/Cupid/some weird love god/dess cursed my baking sweets looks like I'm with Shiver again.

My palate can't handle sour stuff and I can't handle spicy stuff, so that leaves me with sweet. I'd have preferred to have a 'savory' option, but I'm looking forward to supporting Frye

Honestly the map design in this game is so demotivating. Having 3 separate ranked rotations doesn't matter when a majority of the maps in the game are borderline unplayable, it means there's almost never a good, fun rotation.

It's so discouraging how you can play really well for 2 waves in SR, you have a solid team, and then you just get fucked by the most absurd boss stacks imaginable. It's literally impossible to win, not because of your own efforts, but because the game decided to screw you for no reason. Just obvious very little thought or effort was put into the highest SR levels.
 
Does anyone know anything about Switch turbo controllers? Mostly wondering if those with gyro have aiming as good as the regular Pro Controller or if they're inferior in some ways

From my experience and from what others say, just about all third party controllers have inaccurate gyro.

I currently play about 1-2 hours a day I think (not including competitive private battles). Keep in mind this is almost entirely in Anarchy and I definitely win more than I lose, so YMMV

Well using simple napkin math, if Lucifer only played 12 days this month (Season started on the first so 17-5=12 days), at minimum they would have had to win 341 Knockouts total. See

((9500*99)-(7500*12))/2500=340.2

9500 is the amount of points needed to level up and you need to do it 99 times to get level 100. You would then need to subtract the daily bonus wins you receive which is 7500 times the number of days played (17-5=12 days). Then divided that total by the amount of points you receive on knockout. Now, unlike Turf War, Anarchy/X matches can run the gauntlet and be really short or go long into overtime. But for sanity's sake let's say they take an average of 3 minutes a game. 341*3 = 1023 minutes or a bit over 17 hours. So I would guess around 1-2 hours a day.

...It's the holidays I'm bored and I like fooling around with basic math.

...Meanwhile I've been playing 1-2 hours a day but because I am in the opposite corner and lose more than 80% of my matches I'm not even at level 15 yet.

Based on the Switch Parental Control app I use as an activity log I've played 96 hours so far in December, including a whole lot of Salmon Run (and no Turf War), and I'm currently Level 5 on Chill Catalog 2.

I am having a bit hard time having fun with Turf War in this game.
I see like, 4 different weapons generally. And most of the brand new stages are... is it just me or are they pretty bad? Even some returning stages got worse, Mahi Mahi is probably the worst stage in the game
I like the latest new stage, but it is almost never in rotation when I play, of course.
Feels like every battle is a Spawn Camp match

Just play what you want tbh. High level competitive sweats will gravitate towards these weapons and kits at all times.

Happened in 1 and 2.

But yeah EPD5 needs to properly buff a lot of weapons. Maybe halfway through this season we'll get that.

I want them to take the approach of "buff things that are strong against the current meta" while keeping nerfs to a minimum tbh. I think they did that pretty decently last patch with buffing zipcaster, splatana wiper and tri stringer. Those are all quite strong options against crab/splash.

I still think they should be a little more involved/proactive tho. Nerfing missiles was necessary, but it was the one big thing keeping crab tank in check.

help when's my Beakon Ballpoint coming I can't deal with this kit anymore (especially since I still miss all my Inkjet shots and it's worse now that everyone's ninja djfsdoih)
 
Are there only, like, 2 weapons with Squid Beakon so far? I like the Beacons, but the only option I can really use is Tenta Brella
 
Man, I really feel like the Chill update has sucked all the fun out of the game. Especially SR, which they actively made worse by adding Marooner's Bay to the rotation. Big Run does not come close to making up for how bad this map is. It's completely irredeemable. You can pretty much only win in VP by getting lucky 3 times in a row.

Add on Splatfests being every two months now for some reason, and having a much worse gimmick than 2... yeah it's starting to feel like some serious mistakes were made with this game.

It feels like the older stages are WAY harder than the new ones overall. Like they are not balanced at all to the big increase in hell you get thrown at you.
Overall, yeah the game feels very iffy with balancing right now.
 
I get why people hate clam blitz solo tbh. Nobody ever tries to accomplish anything unless you literally solo wipe the enemy team for them.

Yeah something like that could help a lot. Some bosses are just very difficult with where they spawn and then they keep spawning there.
Flyfish being the biggest offender.
Tho I have noticed that Big Shots are hell when the middle of the map is a war zone and suddenly they spawn multiples and you have no time to go take care of them
