1.72 Million. Updated sales for the six month million sellers:

Breath of the Wild about to crack the 30 million mark with the two versions combined. Unreal, seriously.

And Xenoblade 3 did great, I'm glad. Xenoblade 2 had done basically the same (1.73 million, 10K more) by March of 2019. 3 essentially topped this in just a couple of months.

As I posted in the main thread...
Lots of healthy numbers. Kirby is bound to become the best selling game in its franchise. The evergreens continue to sell. Mario Strikers is the best selling game in its franchise, from what I could find. Splatoon 3 is selling great, faster than the second game, especially in Japan.
Very solid software sales this gen, especially from the evergreens.

Hmm was it expecting Splat 3 to be a bit higher, don’t think it will hit 10 mil before the end of the year after all.
Nearly 8 million in a month is pretty dang good. We still got the holiday season, so we'll see of it maintains momentum.

I wonder if Arceus is going to overtake some of the bottom top ten by the end of the fiscal year. It being unique gives it more value than generations that get replaced. It’s only a million away from getting in there and hasn’t had a holiday season yet.

Scarlet and Violet ate its legs. I don’t see it overtaking the bottom row at this rate, especially with no multiplayer.

Also doesn’t look like Xenoblade is a growing franchise.
It has a good chance to be the best-selling game in the series given the kind of time XC2 had, so it would have growth, just... not a lot.

It added another million this quarter. These games have a relative ceiling, but I’d hardly say Arceus’ story is over.

Edit: NVM I misread the chart. That’s for six months. Still think it has a decent-ish shot with the holiday ahead.

super terrible take with these great numbers
I don’t think that numbers are that great at least from a worldwide perspective. Splatoon 3 is obviously being carried by Japan sales as the western sales for it aren’t great(pretty sure Splatoon 2’s split was that Japan had the most sales for one region while, most of the sales was outside of Japan, but with 3 it’s the opposite as Japan is leading the sales overall) which it could honestly just hit barely above total sales of Splatoon 2 depending on how it goes.

Xenoblade I just expected better growth for a “core” Nintendo series.

So in a way the sales are somewhat disappointing to me.

if it's not disappointing to Nintendo then it's not disappointing to me

I think the numbers are fine overall for both franchises. Both showed growth over previous entries initial starting points. The big thing for both of these games are legs.
Yes, Splat3 is being carried by JP currently but Splat2 was a major seller worldwide. I expect the Spanish splits by the end of its life span.
Even as a core series XC3 is gonna a struggle showing major initial growth. The game is a weird mid tier jrpg at the end of the day.
Ah, I should have clarified, sorry. It says that in the fine print for the SSBU, Sword/Shield, and BotW sales numbers.
Gotcha

Good numbers for xenoblade 3, it did close to threehouses numbers in the first report so I expect to see it closer to 3 mil than 2 mil in the end.
Strange split for splatoon 3 but we'll see how it does for the holiday, it's going to surpass splatoon 2 easily.
And finally it brings a tear to my eye to finally see kirby dream land DEFEATED, kirby forgotten land finally outsold the original kirby becoming the best selling kirby game ever.
What an incredible game, it truly deserves it.

damn, completely forgot this was happening today. @curl-6 i made this update on install base with the sales for last quarter, feel free to add it to OP if you want:

Xeno 3 kinda did well in Japan it seems, closing in half million units is decent

It shows that Digital sales can be a major factor, this bode well for Bayo 3 since it seems it's doing well digitally compared to physical sales

Hoped for better legs for Striker tho

The power of Nintendo digital vouchers in JP

Pretty impressive results. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a shot at 3 million lifetime, which would be solid growth for the series at this stage. Kirby, Switch Sports and Pokemon Legends all continuing to sell strongly, too. Big result for Kirby, especially.

Splatoon 3 is actually slightly higher than I expected, even with the big Japanese sales.

Also - Switch (917 million) will soon over take the software total for Wii (921 million); then DS (948 million) after that; and then it'll be Nintendo's best ever software total and likely their first system to hit 1 billion software units sold.

Mixed results this quarter, Switch had the worse Q2 hardware quarter for four years however it also had the best Q2 software quarter ever.

Looking at the yearly and quarterly software totals, Switch should over take Wii and DS in the next quarter, and also break the 1 billion software units sold in the same timeframe.

Mixed results this quarter, Switch had the worse Q2 hardware quarter for four years however it also had the best Q2 software total ever. Because of this the tie ratio was 16.62 (highest yet) this quarter and pushes the total tie ratio over 8.
That hardware decline is to be expected; with the downward revision to the forecast, this'll be the first financial year since 2019/20 that hardware shipments don't top 20 million for the year.
