Halloween Jazz Day 10: Marcus Miller “Jekyll & Hyde”

Went with the live version of this because the guitar solo is amazing (also love the Rhodes playing). Marcus Miller also plays the base as the lead a lot so it isn’t just left as a rhythm instrument. I also fed like the drummer must have been exhausted to keep up that pace. Just amazing. Album version (and entire album) is really good as well.

 
My Player 2 has said she wants us to move in together.

I've never lived with a partner before, and change can be a scary thing, especially since I need a lot of alone time to decompress and can get overwhelmed by too much social interaction. It feels kinda terrifying, but then again, so did moving out of home or going to University at the time, and I managed to do that.

I suppose most things worth doing in life aren't easy, and I can't think of anyone I would rather fight over who gets to play on the TV with.
 
Off topic I know but I need to get this out.

God I wish I could shut my brain up. I have my first date in a long time next Saturday and my brain is just so damn noisy worrying about it going badly. I just have to keep reminding myself she's just as excited and nervous as me.

It's funny you pictured this specific thing, as one of my favorite memories from when I was living with a Player 2 was handing control of the tv to her and falling asleep on the couch while watching/listening to her playing Persona all through the night.

I see Raccoon has 8500ish, but.. nobody else I'm looking up is even close to him..

Something’s definitely up with NoA’s amiibo site. I know for sure that it did have E.M.M.I. at one point, and since then they’ve made some changes to the layout and such, and there are a number of odd errors on it. But there also aren’t any new amiibo since the Metroid Dread Samus… No Min Min, no Steve and Alex, no Splatoon 3 amiibo, etc. And those ones never were there. It’s been, like, a year now with no new amiibo added and I have no idea what’s up with it. I’ve tried reporting the erroneous errors and missing amiibo on the site via a link at the bottom of the page, but clearly that doesn’t seem to have helped at all. Maybe if more people bug Nintendo about it something will happen…? It’s just super weird all around. And it’s only Nintendo of America’s amiibo site that’s like this, as far as I know.

Don’t know why, but my brain was thinking about Returnal tonight and how it pulled off one of the coolest and most horrifying twists I’ve ever seen that perfectly matched the gameplay. And those bosses! Such a good game; it has risen a lot for me since its release.

Oh hey, you too? Although not exactly feeling like shit, i have a mucky throat and body aches. First quick test was negative though, so i'm hoping for a cold or something.

Ironically, this comes the day after i reservered slots for the Omicron booster shot this friday. Let's see if i can still go there.

My first one was negative as well. Probably just the flu or a severe cold, like the last time I had symptoms.

Please start a Nintendo music bransch and put out your music officially on both digital media and vinyl.

If i got it right, japanese Youtubers made a challenge where they chroma-something'd pixelated porn movies on the enemy ink color and had to clear it fast enough to not get banned?

Belfast has been very, very cool so far, Fami. Pics to come once the whole trip is through, but today is my first self-guided day since my friend I'm staying with went back to work, so time to hit the Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens, the inside of City Hall, try more delicious food, get my steps in, see an early screening of The Whale tonight at a local theatre, and top the night off at the pub.

Might try to squeeze in Belfast Castle and Cave Hill today, but that's probably better suited for a different day since transit alone is about 2 hours and I slept in a bit (it's 11:19am here)
