The Annapurna showcase was solid. Lots of games I’ll be picking up either on Switch or my Steam Deck.

Even though I can’t really play a game for a while, getting these icons shouldn’t hurt.

Seriously though, about time we got some Xenoblade ones. I don’t want to miss these
About time indeed. I still want my Monado in the Grass icon, Nintendo!!

Ask and you shall receive (though the explosion effect rendered low res cause of my texture streaming issue because my laptop is trash)

that's rad as hell but I was not entirely prepared for the intensity

It looks a lot cooler when the particles aren't big and blocky. Just loading this character (and the other one I'm working on who happens to be a dragonfly I made out of a wavy plant vine, a pair of bug wings, and the head of a goblin mount creature, with plant materials so it's actually a "snapdragonfly") puts me past my texture streaming pool which I have no idea how to control besides not having a laptop with a shitty amount of RAM.

Finished the demo of SD Gundam Battle Alliance, very good and once you start unlocking more mechanics, you can start making some crazy combos.

Also Hermes Mercury is a good gGundam name

If I like Bayonetta, is DMC worth a try?
I played the first three and 3 is definitely worth your time and it is the first game chronologically so it's perfect to start with. The first game you can tell started as a Resident Evil game and is a little fun but very confusing layout. Fun fact: DMC started as a Resident Evil game but Kamiya went a little astray and went way too far away from Resident Evil they decided to make it a new IP instead. 2 is not that great and easily skippable. Even Capcom has abandoned it lore wise lol.

You know what I want after little Noah scion of paradise last month? Cygames to do a full console game Uma Musume management/racing game

I’ve been waiting for the western switch demo release. High on my interested list even if no physical version means a long wait for a sale so I may just use gold coins to take the bite off

I know literally nothing about Gundam and have never seen it, so yes! But that name is something special. That's... not unusual?
To be fair it’s a Tomino thing that carried over even into the Gundam shows he didn’t make. His other mech shows have wacky ones too like Dunbine had Shot Weapon the weapons engineer for example.

Hey I'm all in favor of goofy-ass anime names! It's just that Hermes Mercury caught me a bit off-guard even for those. It's like naming someone "Zeus Jupiter" or "Poseidon Neptune" (which could still be fun!)

I mean Zeus Gundam is a thing, it has a beard and a horse chariot hybrid. Sigh I wish these games had more Gundam suits outside the main 3. Like even Rising, Nobel and the Shuffle Alliance are rare

"Poseidon Neptune" does sound Gundamish

Coppen walked so Kirin could ̶r̶u̶n̶ fly. They really upgraded the gameplay in Gunvolt 3 to still have more air time than the previous one

Yeah and I’d recommend jumping in right with DMCV personally. It’s just extraordinarily amazing and I’ve beaten it I think seven times at this point? Video game cultural osmosis should help you get through the story fine enough.

As for the rest DMC1 is a fun enough curiosity if you know what you are walking into, DMC2 is terrible, and DMC3, DMC4, and dmc (the reboot that never went anywhere) are all great fun.

As someone who loves Bayonetta 1 and 2, I never quite "got" DMC the same way. I've played 4, 5, and DMC: DmC (the reboot sorta thing from NinjaTheory), of which I ironically enjoyed the latter the most, while finding 4 to be okay, 5 to not be to my liking. With how different my tastes are from the core DMC fandom, I guess I'm not really into the series, then, while enjoying Bayonetta overall a lot more, especially in terms of movement in combat. I also like the characters a lot more. Only ever enjoyed Dante on the other hand (and to a lesser degree, Vergil), while absolutely loathing anything that had to do with Nero. I just don't vibe with that kid, haha.

It's still worth trying, I suppose. I did the same, though ultimately I won't bother with DMC games anymore.
I like the anime, though, lol.

Just wanted to share my excitement over the fact that I finally, finally found a USB C hub that works with all of my devices -- laptop, Deck, and even the Switch! fiiiinalllyyy!
I'm a happy camper now.

If you’ve been following the Nier hidden church saga, it was an elaborate ruse by the Nier modding community who dramatically advanced the scene in secret.

I think my favorite part was definitely the original Nier developers having fun with it / being amused on Twitter lol.

Yeah talking about games that are not on Switch i still whonder why DMC 4 is not on Switch
Iirc Nate said he expected DMC4 to be released on Switch. Probably was just a personal prediction since we haven't seen it since.

It kinda annoys me that Capcom actually cheaped out on Switch, doing nothing but ROM dump packs as re-releases while not touching their GC/PS2/PS3 portfolio. Lots of gems are stuck on those platforms like Viewtiful Joe, Maximo, Haunting Grounds, Asura's Wrath and Bionic Commando. On top of that, Switch hasn't gotten Dead Rising games for some reason.

Cant wait for the internet to say "pOKEmON TraILER SooN?" because of these :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
They won’t because that’s the same day the pre-orders open in Japan which people are already saying means a new trailer is imminent

That’s cool, but I was seriously hoping it was Yoko Taro doing a bit 😂

Would there be interest in a thread where fami can share their PSN/XBL/Steam accounts to follow other fami? We do have a thread in place already for friend codes, but none of the others.

Who here has beaten Zelda II? I'm playing it on NSO now but I'm relying pretty heavily on the rewind feature, specifically when I die and I'm really really close to my next upgrade.
I've beaten it two/three times, the first one on NSO and the second on the Game&Watch, continued with NG+.

Do not despair, I used the rewind like there were no tomorrow. I was constantly using it almost all time, and I can tell you that... it's ok to do so. I'm actually glad that my first playthrough was on NSO, because I'm not so sure I'd have been able to tackle it without rewind on G&W. That said, I've actually enjoyed it more the second time, but I think that that is partially because I saw myself overcoming obstacles that seemed imposible the first time - and then, NG+ was a breeze, insanely easy, so I ended with an amazing satisfaction curve. So that is my advice: rewind. Rewind, rewind, rewind. Do not feel bad at all about it. And, if the future you want to tackle the game with the prior knowledge but wanting to overcome those huge obstacles, go for it. I've loved all my three playthroughs, and that wouldn't have ever happened if I haven't rewinded that much the first time.

Whenever Nintendo drop their next system, I really, really hope they improve on the build quality/durability of their controllers. The joycon are especially shitty in that regard, and I have grown tired of swapping the thumb sticks every 8-10 months. Both pair of joycon I own are irredeemable without further investment, and at this point I am sick of it.

The procon isn't that much better either in terms of drifting. Which means I am now using my Switch pretty much exclusively in docked mode with an 8bitdo controller. I love the system, but the controller situation is pretty ridiculous, ngl.

I constantly forget about the rewind feature. Maybe it's time to finally beat my arch nemesis Ninja Gaiden lol

I know everyone is obsessed with XC3 these days but I have been playing 13 Sentinels and want to point out how great it looks. Also, the way it lets you experience the story is nothing short of amazing. I hope they make more games like it.

I have two weeks of vacation starting today, the weather is great, I'm on my way to a friend to hang out tonight and feel good!

Hope y'all have an awesome weekend too! Imma celebrate by turning the great voice of Mina up to 10!

I'm starting to think I'm not a "real gamer" because I have yet to see drift on my sticks so I'm clearly not playing games enough
