I know I am in the minority when I say this but after playing Odyssey's 2D sections I just wanna play a EPD Tokyo 2D game where they go crazy with gameplay, themes, mechanics.

So if it is true that they are developing a Donkey Kong game please let it be 2D :(
At best you'd be getting a New Mario Bros that looks slightly more 3d like 3d world on super mario maker 2

Last time I made a wish for Portal, the Collection was announced at a Direct.

This post will attempt to manifest the same energy just to get a chance to see Mirror's Edge (OG and Catalyst) come to Switch 🙏 It Takes Two would also be wholly welcomed from EA

Nintendo welcomes you on June 29th (JP time) to its 45mn long Summer Direct.

It is time, the screen fades to black, and then the light : it is Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule. She seems dizzy, alone and as the screen focuses to her, you realize that the camera is now behind her.
Smooth transition and you realize that the player is controlling her. Gameplay cuts as she wanders in various environnements. Screen gets blurry, she remembers, that fateful day where she went with Link beneath the surface.
Trailer now focuses on Link, still two different poses/silhouets. He faces a boss as the music gets more and more epic. Black screen. Title drop : Duality of the Wild. Spring 2023.

So what did you think ? Asks a gentle Kozuimi.

Headlines are coming :

  • Batman Arkham Trilogy coming this August
  • Dragon Quest Treasures, December 2022
  • Dragon Quest 3 2D-HD, early 2023
  • Profesor Layton trilogy, September 2022
  • It Takes Two, coming to Switch this September

Screen fades to black. A distinctive bug noise is heard. Silksong is here in another trailer, pretty close to the Xbox one. At the exception of the last screen, with the release date : Available now !

Screen fades to black, it is Fire Emblem time to shine, coming this October.

Again, fades to black, Bayonetta 3 is shown. Lots of style and more open areas, kaiju and movepool are nuts. Coming in February 2023.

Kozuima is out of breath and asks us if we had enough. Pyra comes out of the woods and attacks him : "we never have enough". Officialization of Pyra/Mythra presence in Xenoblade 3 in a magnificient trailer. Coming next month.

  • Ace Attorney 7 coming this Winter on Switch !
  • FFT/TO are both announced, coming this year

Level-5 alive??? 🤨

"Hello everyone, I'm Eiji Aonuma, producer of the Zelda series. After a long difficult debate, we've decided to scrap the current version of BOTW2 and develop a brand new game using a new engine centered around the character of that one random NPC on the bridge that tries to save Link from suicide if you climb on the side. This game will take a while to release, so for now please have a direct port with no enhancements or control changes for Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland."

This is the best outcome

This would easily be the best Nintendo Direct ever made.

Speaking of 3rd party, I wonder if we'll ever see that rumored Resident Evil Switch game. IIRC is was supposedly Revelations 3 or something.

Nintendo is going to blow us away this Direct with a teaser for the sequel to Mario Odyssey. Made in the same engine to expand the Switches lifespan. Nobody expects it because of Zelda but it's Nintendo so they'll do it anyway. The game will be delayed 3 times, but it's planned, traditionally.

Wouldn’t it be a bit odd to get so many tactics-type games in one year? Triangle Strategy, FFT, Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem, Mario + Rabbids, Metal Slug Tactics, Advance Wars, etc?

At a certain point don’t those step on one another’s toes even if they’re all a bit different? It isn’t that big of a genre…

Opinion.

Unlikely. They could partner with external companies for additional retro consoles.

And that 4chan rumor is terrible. Why does it lack 3rd party games -- except Rabbids 2? Make some random stuff up.
It will never happen because it’s old and mostly ran like shit but man what would I give to see the Amstrad CPC on the NSO. Or the C64 / ZX Spectrum (would be funny if the Goldeneye Remaster let the ZX Spectrum emulator inside the ROM).

I know the C64 happened on the Wii and I was so happy to see it but it was the only time…

I finally get to play Crisis Core. That’s cool, never got a psp and had no desire to ever get one for just that game.

Wonder if the licensing issues were fixed or will it’ll just be replaced?

Anyways. This is just a sign to actually bring GBA kingdom hearts back as well. Hopefully. Probably not.

Honestlty I could do with a bit more enthusiasm and excitement right now. There is quite some negativity surounding the Direct, mainly regarding Persona and the FE leaked screenshots.
I really preferd when the general vibe is excitement, goofiness and also wholesomeness. I mean, we are going to have a new Direct in 15 days with brand new games announced and updates on some super exciting games.
AND PIKMIN 4 yes I’m excited by the possibility!!!!

I don't see the succ so fake

Insiders are clearly hinting at the succ being announced by the end of the month, they just can't outright say it because they would be in huge trouble lol.
I have to say either you are tuned into something special or you make more assumptions than anybody I've ever seen

There are two genres that are related but not the same : Strategy (M+R) and SRPGs (FE) the audience of this genres imo is pretty different so they can release and not overlap too much

I don't know, I don't think anyone with a track record has been necessarily hinting at it, let alone downplaying it. Any hopes I have for a hardware reveal are purely gut instinct and based on nothing but hopes and dreams, the same ones that have let me down at the OLED reveal.

I don't doubt the new hardware's existence, I just think despite various leaks whether from assembly factories, silicon foundries or Nvidia hacks that the marketing team is locked up tighter than the Americantendo

I didn’t think there were any such hints.

We’ve operated on the assumption of either end of 2022 or early 2023 launch because of Nate’s details from last year, and if 2022 is happening we’re running out of time for an announcement. No hints about an imminent announcement tho.

I don’t mean to pile on, you keep doing you, but you got to know that no insiders are hinting at a Switch successor for end of the month and a sonic embargo doesn’t mean a new Switch is coming…

Square-Enix: “you know, the Switch really is an RPG machine”

Koei-Tecmo: “We agree, it’s been pretty cool to us”

Falcom: “Fine. Yeah. Whatever. Stop it, we’re in we guess.”

Bamco: “But I dunno, is there, really?” (While saying this Bamco hides all the sales data of RPG’s on Switch under a rug, including the sales breakdown of Vesperia DE)

Atlus: “Guys, I don’t want to alarm you… but I’m pretty sure we can hire back that old lady for our Persona presentation. People will go crazy”
