10x10 is still too small for me. Even 20x20 might not be enough for me. Bigger please!

WELP. Time to get back to my island so I can prepare for the 5th!

I can't believe it. That was the greatest update showcase ever. Holy moly!

I guess if you want this DLC, which is basically happy home designer, then get the expansion pack. Hopefully this expansion pack includes more future DLCs at that price.

I will pay if there's a chance to have Katt service Vic with an unptotected chair shot in my self-built holiday resort wrestling arena.

I wasn't going to come back to the game for what was in the free update, but the Happy Home Designer add-on sold me. I really enjoyed decorating in New Horizons but kind of hated having to wait for the drip feed of new/interesting furniture through the shop or events so having a mode where I can design all I want with just everything available to me through regular gameplay is fantastic.

Edit. Nevermind, question answered. I wonder if they will have a cheaper option for those that don’t care for Animal Crossing/just want the expansion pack.

Wow the DLC is coming with the NSO Expansion?? Crazy!!

I freaking LOVED everything in the DLC. I saw at least one brand new villager, why didn’t they mention that? Shino is a new Deer villagers. I NEED HER!

The free update is cute as well but the DLC is pure hype.

Man they really saved that buzzkill for the end, huh? More than doubling the NSO price? With that online quality? I don't know.

There was a lot of great content for Animal Crossing. The paid DLC is a bit much but it depends how much time you can get out of it. If you are a design nut then it's probably the right price haha.

Is the NSO expansion so expensive because it's going to include access to DLC in Nintendo games? Can't say that's a big selling point for me, I'd rather get game DLC one-and-done so I'm not relying on a constant subscription to maintain access.

I have to say, the free content update is pretty good. Glad we will have a shopping hub we can visit. I also think the expansion is worth the price and will bring a lot of playtime. I just hope there isn’t some cap on villagers/vacation homes that needs amiibo cards to go over.

I am also very happy that we can have resident homes be remodeled for those that are original island members with stock homes. A little dumb that’s paid though.

Damn they totally read my diary! lol everything I wanted in the paid dlc

The new home design features look amazing

They're turning it into New Leaf+ with optional Happy Home Designer features, farewell my social life.

Also Sasha is friggin' cute.

Wow that makes 0 sense. They added AC DLC to the Switch Online expansion? Why can't we just purchase Sega and N64 for less money?

might go with a month by month membership, to see which games I like and how often I'll play them.

Fantastic showcase. Bummed this is the last major update, but everything they've shown seemed so great that I can overlook that for now. They finally "fixed" New Horizons in my eyes.

i have to say i loved the presentation.

only 2 things i didnt really feel are coming is a nookingtons type shop upgrade and more nintendo items. but a lot of the other stuff certainly makes up for it. and im 100% in on that expansion.

Last FREE major update, so at least there will be options in the future

At least I understood it as this being a special tier with the expansion. Like their will be 3 tiers of NSO:
  • Basic - $19.99
  • Expansion + HHP - $49.99
  • Expansion - $29.99

So basically you would save $5 if you get that tier.

I loved Happy Home Designer, so I’m happy to see them bring it over to New Horizon.

I can’t wait to redesign my rooms. Though, I’m wondering if they carry over the outside designer from Happy Home Paradise to your own island. That would make redesigning outside areas so much easier.

This update is huge!! I have not played with the game for 5 months minimum, I guess it's time to go back start changing everything, haha

Wow, that was A LOT! I don't even know where to begin. Wish they shadow dropped the free update today.

Sad that a lot of the good will be buried in discussion of the NSO price because that was a LOT! Like even just the free stuff on its own is substantial. And really neat to basically see a Happy Home Designer sequel built into the main game.

I hope this does mean what I hope it means though. That might just imply they'll stop adding new content and from this point only patch bugs or something. Hoping for the former. A shop upgrade would be nice still.

Me putting the Tea Cup ride out on my island from nearly day one and trying to make a fair ground around it: Well... I tried! hahaha

Me seeing all the new carnival rides in the background of this direct: omgomgomgomgomg

Looks like the update will finally include the things that should have been in the game since launch. Having HHD2 as DLC is something that I hadn't considered. I wonder if that will be the only paid expansion or if they'll go back and do WA2 in a few years.

Happy that I managed to find some time to watch this, thought I wouldn't be able to do it but I sneaked out and it was worth it. Just the free part alone was amazing, finally farming and cooking.

Might get the DLC but eh, not sure.

Looks like 16 new villagers so far, double the amount Horizons initially added lol.

They revealed 33/48 cards in Series 5 so there could be some more in there, or some older folks returning.

Glad I already built a farm area for pumpkins. I might have to do a total island redesign though as I had left open space for more shops which aren’t coming now. I also made my villager houses into a neighborhood, but that’s sort of will limit the new outside options. I will get s lot out of this expansion

I did the same thing for the most part. I wonder if I'll get the drive to redo my island after the last time I did. That took me so many hours lmao.

Yeah, this is a hefty free update. And then the paid DLC is just as hefty. Very tempted now to wipe my island and start anew come November.

Is there a release date for the dlc expansion? Me and my gf wonder that maybe we overlooked it in the direct. Thanks in advance!

So excited. Really missed having a shopping street.. kicks camping outside my town hall while having a 5 star island feels wrong

Also wonder whether eating will have more of a function or whether it’s just a kinda useless, but cute, gimmick

I'm in the same boat. I have so many hours and tough decisions ahead.
