I disagree, SNES Rainbow Road doesn't looks worse just because it's made out of blocks, it's very pretty and detailed.

There's a clear difference between the courses of the booster pack and the rest of the courses, they're not ugly by any means but they're not as gorgeous.

These tracks are also pretty and detailed - there just isn't as much detail in them as in tracks like N64 Rainbow Road or Wild Woods.

I don't see any clear difference between these tracks and tracks like Thwomp Ruins or Hyrule Castle - on the contrary, I think the DLC tracks look better than those two again as an example.

The Tokyo layout is like I thought it'd be.

Also, all the music tracks are rearranged, even the Tour originals!

Oh wow it changes each lap?

Also, a little late to the party, but the Tour courses with multiple layouts changing each lap is a solid compromise to get all of them in.

Oh no, the wuhu tracks didn’t come to tour with miis?

I need those in HD, please

Oh it seems like the tour tracks can change the route in a new lap. I don’t think that it is always the case, but at least I thought I saw that in some footage of the Tokyo Course if I‘m not mistaken. That would be a super fun feature.

Graphics look better than I expected! Shaders and lighting effects weren't apparent from the screenshots.

Shroom Ridge is sorta the outlier and feels very plain. I enjoy that retro tracks tend to feel like re-imagining and it is an exception to that and a fairly faithful translation.

I have extended this for 15 minutes for your listening pleasure. I've already got Toad Circuit as well, will work on the others as well!

HOLY FUCK!!! 48 BRAND NEW MARIO KART BAND MUSIC TRACKS YOU SAY!?!?!?!?!

I don't even care about the tracks anymore! GIMME THAT SOUNDTRACK RIGHT NOW!!! :D

I love how there was any doubt that Nintendo would skimp a bit on the one game that's made them almost $3 billion alone over the last five years.
Hearing Coconut Mall in the trailer should have removed all doubt about the music remixes besides maybe the Tour tracks.

The level of quality, though? Thinking about it is one thing. Hearing it is another level entirely.

Considering that these tracks are all rips from Mario Kart Tour? I think it's safe to say that nobody expected Nintendo to actually get Mario Kart Band back together for this one!!! We were all just expecting straight rips from Tour/other previous MK games, NOT all new live arrangements!!

I'm so hyped for the new music!! I really hope that they release another CD set with all of the new DLC music! :D

Are the course variations on a timer like how Grumble Volcano works, or are they actually checking for complete laps?

Honestly, the music in MK8 is a more important part of it's identity to me than even the visuals are, so yeah, getting MK8 quality remixes is fantastic news.

Having the lap variations(? if that's how it works) for the city tracks from Tour is also great to see.

Most of all tho I'm glad the full line up of tracks didn't leak! I'm someone who normally doesn't care at all about leaks even a little bit, but for some reason I'm looking forward to the long hype cycle for this. MK8 is just different to me I guess lol.

Sheesh, what a great day!

It's interesting how both Paris Promenade and Tokyo Blur incorporate different pathways depending on the lap. The latter in particular has different paths in all three laps, whereas the former is only different for the last lap, with a rather interesting twist where the last lap is basically the first two in reverse.

Is it me, or does Ninja Hideaway lack the Tour label? Note that both Tokyo Blur and Paris Promenade have the respective labels.

Thank you for reading.
