No. Let's. The people demand Super Mario RPG. (I'm people.)
Super Mario RPG Remaster is my wish for a remaster. Upgrade the combat with the refinements from the M&L games and do the visuals justice via UE4.

It should be illegal to post japanese tweets and not offer a translation.

That said, this is clearly for Mother Trilogy by Grezzo.

If/when Mother 3 gets an official English localization either as a port to gba online or a remake/remaster on Switch/Switch 2, do you think they'll call it Mother 3 or give it a localized title like Earthbound 2 or Earthbound Finale? My guess is the latter to keep the consistency of the Earthbound branding in the west.

Seriously, when it isn't japanese it's french. I always feel like the person is stealth bragging.

We do know the NES and SNES NSO apps are getting maintenance tonight, after the direct. Which in some cases could mean an update.

Wouldn't surprise me if they drop Earthbound Zero and Earthbound in there after the direct.

And we do know they did produce a localized version of Mother 3 during the WiiU era...

This is false.

God as excited as I would be for Earthbound, please bring Beginnings to NSO as well. I would love to play through the whole thing but it feels so arachaic that the only way I could is to make it portable.

Controversy? Has the game some problematic aspects in its story/dialogue?
There’s a few things, such as the game being especially frank on dark matters like death, cruelty towards animals, and human morality, at least one rather unfortunately designed character that would be seen as a racist caricature, but most likely the obstacle are the magypsies, a race of non-binary fey people who are kind of like guardians of the setting. To start with their name is a pun on what has become recognized as a slur since the game came out, and they are depicted as having rugged masculine bodies and facial hair but dressing and acting femininely. There is a lot of debate on whether or not they should be seen as positive representation (they are fun characters and benign in the story) or offensive (the idea of being non-binary or genderqueer is basically stereotyped into being depicted like drag queens, and the game does play some of it for humor). The creator seemed to have good intentions, saying he included them to show there are all kinds of different and good people in the world, but they have not aged well in the modern day.

There's a few things but the portrayal of the Magypsies could be seen as too much fire for Nintendo to want to play with, off the top of my head.
The representations can be viewed somewhat problematic yeah. There is also some drug abuse and cruelty if I remeber correctly.

I see. Then honestly I understand it that they don‘t want to rerelease it.
