Retro the unreleased Atari Jaguar VR Headset is finally emulatable, over 28 years later.

Digital Foundry interviews Rich Whitehouse, the developer behind the emulator.


    • interesting stream that goes into further detail on how it was made.

    one big detail i noticed that he's actively working on adding support for the unreleased Jaguar VR peripheral.

    a few prototypes still exist, but he's looking for someone to give (or at least let him burrow) one to ensure it's fully accurate.
     
    • Jaguar VR support has been added.


    • this is an even bigger deal than the CD support, considering the headset was never commercially released.
    only one game, which was released despite the hardware (it was basically used in an optional mode) not making it out there. actually is compatible with it. but it's still a huge deal to see it working properly.
