for those unaware, this is a series of massively popular musical albums portraying a fictional alternate universe where weapons are illegal. leading major conflicts between guys to now be solely solved through rap battles.
the albums proved popular enough to receive an Anime adaption, a Manga adaption, a stage play, and a mobile game.
from what I can tell. It seems this Switch game might be a port of the mobile game. just retooled into a paid title with no microtransactions (and also split into multiple parts)
this was revealed during a whole event of new Otome games published by Idea Factory, but this is the only one I specifically recognized as having historical relevance.
also one of the rappers has the same Japanese VO as Kazuma Kiryu, of all people.
