StarTopic The official cartridges thread

Ojoloco

Hi πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
Welcome to the official game cartridge thread!
The objective of this thread is to have an area to collect the following information:

-What games do they use or have had a stock run with 32GB cartridges?
-What games need or indicate needing a download, and if so, see if it is playable, what part is included and what comes in the downloads (along with their size)
-Any news on the rumored new higher capacity Switch 2 cartridges
-Any curiosity or design of a cartridge that you think is pretty, including retro cartridges.

All this is to have a thread where it is easy to find information for famiboards users.

Everyone is invited to collaborate by providing information.

Games with dowloads
What games need or indicate needing a download, and if so, see if it is playable, what part is included and what comes in the downloads (along with their size)

-Doom 2016 (8GB patch for the multiplayer)
-Mortal Kombat 1 (28GB for all the modes except the VS mode, you can play without dowloads battles with the characters of the center in the menu)
-Wolfenstein 2: The new Colossus (8GB, 50% of the game in the card, chapters 1 to 5, and full access to wolfstone 3D, you need to patch if you want to have the optimizations)

Oh wow didn't know Bayonetta 3 used a 32GB cartridge for a reprint. Maybe I should track a copy down.

Also FF X / X-2 HD Asia also uses 32GB AFAIK. Not just Japan.

Community spreadsheet about versions of nintendo games in cartridges
There's a community-created spreadsheet with the status of game cards:

Very handy if you want to see if certain games got new prints or not.

If I'm not mistaken, the launch production run of Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2 in Japan was 32GB.

Skyrim reimpresion with probably 32GB cartridge, includes the first "Anniversary" patch (the patch who add anniversary content)
