It's a real mix of resolutions, reflecting the different monitors I've used over the years. Some have been cropped and/or scaled from their original source.

Came here expecting a goof thread, actually got some really nice desktop backgrounds.

Something about that library in Turkey is really striking. I'm going to have to up my desktop game now and share some of mine.

I honestly haven't looked at my desktop wallpaper in years. I almost always have a Chrome, Word, etc. tab open. Just as well, I had something really goofy for it beforehand that I don't remember (like 5 years ago) but I got a job where I was using my laptop in the office and self conscious about it so I changed it to this lol:

I know for a fact my desktop is full of shortcuts and crap anyway so it would have to be seriously cleaned up but I've never bothered.

There's some great images in there. Big fan of the aerial Indianapolis Speedway one, as well as the one of Lindisfarne Priory (though I'm a bit biased there, as I live fairly close to it!).

I tend to use one of the default macOS backgrounds personally as I like that they change to become darker as the dat gets darker. I just wish there was some way you could make your own backgrounds that do the same so I could shake things up a bit.

Used to have a stunning collection of desktop wallpapers I collected over the years...can't use any of them now that my new monitor is 27" and 1440p; all those pixels kill me inside

Although I did get Desktop Engine on Steam and I have this animated desktop of The Midnight's "Monsters" album that runs at 1440p
