Rangnick being hired as interim coach for ManU is something I never saw coming in a million years.
I hope its PortugalAt least one out of Italy and Portugal is guaranteed to miss the WC next year. This should be interesting.
It could be both, which is highly unlikely, but would be twice as hilarious.I hope its Portugal
Would be hilarious
Im having s heart attack
Is Messi taking the award tomorrow or there's chance for somebody else?
I see, so pretty much what was expected.Apparently the results leaked and it’s Messi, Benzema, Lewandowski in that order.

I agree 100%.Yeah, although it's ridiculous in my personal opinion that Lewandowski is coming third when he should have won it, or at the very least ended above Benzema.
If we're always just going to look at attackers for the prize anyway, then if 38 goals in 30 games isn't enough to land you above 24 goals in 28 games or even 26 goals in 33 games, I don't know what is. Maybe if Madrid/Barcelona/PSG were clubs in less of a dominating position domestically than München but that's hardly the case, even if Barça underperformed this year.
I agree 100%.
I can't believe they are giving full weight to copa America and then Jorginho is not even in the final three.
In my opinion and (I know is very debatable) Lewandowski deserved it last year too.
Leonel Messi winning the Ballon d'Or is bullshit to be honest. For what exactly ? Copa America ? serious question.
I don't particularly care about Messi winning his 7th now that he left Barca but it's great to see all the salt. He won over Lewandowski because of winning the Copa, and his play before joining PSG. You may not like it, but international games are valued too (that's why Modric won a few years ago). It's not Messi's fault that he plays in Copa. What is he supposed to do? Make Argentina join Europe? Jorginho doesn't deserve it, not over Messi or Lewandowski. Lewa deserves one, and I think whoever gives out the BDO should give him the 2020 one retroactively.
I generally have an issue with giving BDO to strikers seemingly by default, but if they absolutely have to do that for some inexplicable reason, it should have been given to Lewandowski this year.I don't think anybody is dismissing the international records. Just that Messi's 9 in 16 international games aren't as impressive as Lewa's 11 in 12 games, especially considering he has a much worse team to play with in arguably more difficult competitions outside of WC years?
Oh, I also absolutely agree with that. Goalkeepers and defenders don't have a shot within the current unwritten rules, unfortunately.I generally have an issue with giving BDO to strikers seemingly by default, but if they absolutely have to do that for some inexplicable reason, it should have been given to Lewandowski this year.
I feel like there is a notion of offense players being of higher value, or contributing more to the success of a team than defense players and goalies in the eyes of the audience at large, which is then being mirrored in ballon d'or. At least in my own experience it is rather uncommon for people interested in football to claim that their favourite player is anything else than a forward, winger, or CAM.Oh, I also absolutely agree with that. He shouldn't have won this one because he wasn't the best player last season. If the BDO really awards the best player in the world, however, then it's an absolute crime that he only has 7.I don't particularly care about Messi winning his 7th now that he left Barca but it's great to see all the salt. cool, more points for us Dutchies. If Vitesse wins of course.... two CL + one CL qualification tickets here we come!Looks like Spurs have had a COVID outbreak in the squad. Just as they were turning things around too. Won't be too mad if it means we limp out of the Europa Conference mind
We don't have a Gp thread and its the last race so no point making one.
Anyone watching it?
I'm of the belief that Hamilton should have gained 2 more world championships than he has so I don't want him to lose this one, but Max is a better person to lose to than RosbergI will, hopefully will be a great race.
I always like it when it comes down to the final day
This sums up the entire season pretty damn well, ngl. What on earth, are F1 trying to torpedo their sport?
That was dumb as hell. well done Max I guess.
2 different possible winners and in the course of the race they managed to make both underserved lol
God knows what the people actually invested in this are feeling. Imagine your day job came down to thatThis sums up the entire season pretty damn well, ngl.
No matter the outcome, this season was just a shit-show in each regard. Both Merc and Red Bull have behaved incredibly childish and unworthy over the course of it, let alone some of the stuff that happened on track, including the inconsistency of Race Control.God knows what the people actually invested in this are feeling. In another dimension Lewis is a 10 time champ but he gets paid too much to walk away. Ironically if they had made Max over take him at the start instead of leaving Lewis in front then the race would have gone differently and that ending wouldn't have happened.
Yep it's also annoying how they constantly go to their teams, talking to them during the races and stuff, trying to make more characters to market rather than just letting the drivers drive. No matter the outcome, this season was just a shit-show in each regard. Feels like sport took a hard backseat to drama and show. Not exactly my cup of tea.
Yeah. And it is not over yet. Now Merc are submitting not one, but two protests against the outcome of the race. It was kind of obvious that whoever ended up losing would seek some way to settle this off track. Fits the whole absurdity.Yep it's also annoying how they constantly go to their teams, talking to them during the races and stuff, trying to make more characters to market rather than just letting the drivers drive.
