Given that we would have gotten PR celebrating the game's opening weekend in Japan if it did snag the "#1 best opening for a Mario title" spot when factoring in digital, I think it's fair to say that the game did 30% digital or less. Beating NSMBWii's 935K would mean it did around 32% digital, if my math isn't crap.
weren't the only games they did this for, just the best opening of all time in japan?

and even then they didn't do it for animal crossing new horizons which broke the record before splatoon 3 did iirc.

Ok, but it would have been really tasteless to boast about animal crossing breaking any records right when it would have done so, haha. It's no surprise they didn't say anything about that.

Totk had a 50% digital to physical split. Wonder should have the same. Why not? If anything makes more sense due to smaller download size
The rise of digital shares for Nintendo games in Japan came specifically from the saving of the NSO game vouchers. As they have a fixed price (9,990 yen) while individual games can be vary. Totk is like 8,000 yen compare to Wonder's 5,980 yen for example. So digital shares on the former is gonna be more simply because you can save more money using the vouchers to buy the game.

As you don't really save much money with getting Wonder from that. Digital shares should be around the average of 30-40%
