Film Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer |Official Trailer| In Theaters 7/21/23

Yeah, I have to agree with this. The IMAX trailer takes on such a starker and far more terrifying tone than what this "hopeful science of the 1940s" seems to portray.
Im surprised they didn't just release that trailer. This feels like a different film than what we getting.

I even just looked up the IMAX channel on YouTube, but it's not uploaded; just the same one here. The IMAX theatre trailer had the quote about "but what if the reaction doesn't stop?" "Then we're igniting the entire atmosphere"

Like I only learned that fact maybe a year or two ago but that kind of implication is still terrifying to consider having been a possibility that could have eradicated all life on Earth and they still fucking did it anyways.

I haven't seen the IMAX trailer, so I'll take your word for it, but I definitely didn't get "hopeful science" from this trailer. Maybe it's because it's Nolan so I know it's not going to be a romantic movie, but it definitely has a cutting undertone of tension and dread through it.

Either way, looking forward to this. Nolan's record may be somewhat spotty but his movies are almost always interesting if nothing else.

It's attached to Avatar 2; only reason I know is because I came back from it just six hours ago haha. Yeah, maybe "hopeful science" isn't the right phrase, but in comparison this trailer appears rather lighthearted compared to what they showed in theatres.

One thing is for sure, this spurring the "dropping atom bombs on civilians was good actually" discussion a couple of weeks earlier than usual is gonna be so fuggin annoying.

Saw numerous teasers for this over the summer when there were actually movies in theaters I wanted to see. Those teasers were in black and white and looked really sharp! A bit of a shame the entire thing will be in color since it just looks less premium now and more like a ~2.5 hour movie about some scientist.

Well then I guess I gotta see that IMAX trailer because this one was dope.

Stoked for my boy Josh Peck to be in more big movies.

That was the trailer a saw during Avatar 2 and I thought it really good. Glad they finally upload it.
