Could always just grab at on another platform. Problem solved. It'd be unfortunate, even if not one of the fan favorites I was always curious about that one. But hey, if we get FFVII Remake Intergrade earlier instead it's all good for me ^^
it's crazy how Ever Crisis is almost exactly what I expected a 3DS/Vita remake of FF7 would be
I don’t see Camelots game coming until 2025. It’ll be done, but held for next year.Camelot are sort of due this year, if we assume they're sticking to the 3 year cadence they've managed on Switch. The thing is, I really question just how many more Mario adjacent titles Nintendo are going to cram out. They've already got four scheduled for this year, hot on the heels of two Mario titles in late 2023. I get there's heightened interest in the IP, and it's also fair to say that they're spreading these games across a range of genres, and two of these games don't star Mario. Those are definitely mitigating factors in terms of potential over exposure.
Still, if you put Mario sports in this year, you're up to 5 Mario universe titles before you start thinking about genuine system sellers for new hardware, which probably means 3D Mario and Mario Kart. I assume at least one of those two will launch this year. We also could arguably be 'due' Mario Party, given NdCube's track record on Switch. So that's four confirmed titles from the broader IP and four potential titles for this year.
Long story short, I think some of that stuff might well be wrapping up development in 2024 but launch will wait till 2025. We've seen Nintendo are unafraid to pace certain titles and hold things back, after all.
Ultra Smash is barely a game, it's basically a playable demo for Aces.I'm totally fine with Camelot making a Mario Baseball, (American) football, basketball, or another sport. I just don't need a third HD Tennis game from them in a ~10 year stretch.
they could, but if Nintendo were to chose, they'd prefer to have two rpgs (Xenoblade and Golden Sun) instead of one (Xenoblade or Golden Sun). if GS does come back, it's either gonna be by Camelot or Camelot supervising an external studio, rather than taking up Nintendo's internal staffwhat if Monolith Soft reboot Golden Sun?
First party? I think we already have a nice lineup for the fall season: BW remakes/Legend, Metroid Prime 4, Fire Emblem 4 remake. Add some more Gamecube re-releases to that (WW+TP perhaps) then we're good to go.I'm curious. For those of you expecting the Switch 2 to launch next year, what games do you think will be released this year?
everything announced now and will be announced in the February directI'm curious. For those of you expecting the Switch 2 to launch next year, what games do you think will be released this year?
I don't think Switch 2 is launching next year, but I already expect something like this for Switch 1 this yearI'm curious. For those of you expecting the Switch 2 to launch next year, what games do you think will be released this year?

Tbh, I'm at the point where I want Camelot to work on anything else because basically all the Mario Sports games are, at best... kinda meh. And that's "at best", most of them really aren't that good.I'm totally fine with Camelot making a Mario Baseball, (American) football, basketball, or another sport. I doubt it. Monolith Soft isn't really restricted by Nintendo's demands outside of helping some of the EPD teams with strenuous projects. Monolith Soft helps make Nintendo unreasonable amounts of money through high-quality and technically impressive games, with that money helping to fund Takahashi's weird-ass high-sci-fantasy series that he's been trying to make for upwards of 30 years now. While Monolith Soft would make a good Golden Sun game, they aren't required too nor would they likely want to do it.what if Monolith Soft reboot Golden Sun?
As long as it doesn't have Kuja going back in time to change events from the OG game and weird time ghosts it should be fine.given what sells on Switch, "better fit" doesn't really mean anything. FF7R would still sell better and wouldn't be out of place in the Switch library. do we even know how faithful FF9 would even be?

I just want Golden Sun to return man... speaking of:

More of a reason for Camelot to take a break from Mario Sports games.Ultra Smash is barely a game, it's basically a playable demo for Aces.
I would like Nintendo to have the Zelda series fully voiced, more specifically have Link talk and develop an identity. Something similar to how the Witcher series and God of War does it for character development. I think it will help drive narrative a lot imoA large part of Nintendo game VAs come from America. However, the Xenoblade series, with the exception of Xenoblade X, used British VAs. Generally, Xenoblade used English VAs because NoE localized the series back in the day with Xenoblade 1, and a large part of the vocal talent is still hired from the UK. There are some specifics Hell, from what I can find, Adam Howden, Jenna Coleman, Al Weaver, David Menkin and Harry McEntire (the voices behind Shulk, Melia, Rex in XC2, Malos and Noah) aren't union actors let alone union VAs.
The above being said, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Engage prove NoA can go for large amounts of voice acting in games. Would be neat to see some other series get that sort of love, though that amount of series to get that attention remains to be seen.
I wonder if Star Wars Outlaws will come to Switch 2. Seems like a game people could get excited for
Splatoon rhythm gameIs this finally it? Is this when we finally get a Splatoon spinoff? It’s about time after 3 games. We know there will be a 4th on Switch 2. It’s the only big Nintendo series without a spinoff. Switch 2 should correct that I hope
It could still refer to streaming platforms but Ubisoft doesn't want to acknowledge failed initiatives they're still contracted forThe Star Wars Outlaws website says:
"Star Wars Outlaws™ for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and More"
in the html title.
That means that that text appears in certain places like link previews and search engine search results, but the text isn't actually displayed on the Web page itself. That text has been there since at least summer 2023. I wonder if it could be a reference to Switch 2
We have the rumour that Far Cry 7 is coming to Switch 2. Therefore I think Outlaws is incredibly likely if FC7 is in fact coming.
Why would they say "and more" instead of just listing all the platforms it could be Luna, but that's not listed in the platforms section of the website. The Avatar website did list Luna, so the "more" doesn't seem to be referring to Luna. Seems like it probably is referring to Switch 2

Probably BullyIt was pointed out on Era that Take Two has another rerelease scheduled for release by the end of this quarter.
I know that timeline wouldn’t be Switch 2 software, but I still thought it was worth bringing up here in light of the general conversation around R* support and what some of us expect from them in the coming months.
Somebody on the other forum said that it's probably Midnight Club LA, which makes a lot of sense.Probably Bully
To prepare us for Bully 2, surely
Dang I was hoping for BullySomebody on the other forum said that it's probably Midnight Club LA, which makes a lot of sense.
Do you reckon Side Order makes that less likely? I agree that it's about time Splatoon gets a spin off, I just can't pinpoint when it would happen because of Splatoon 3's release timing. I just don't know if they'd release the DLC, spin off and (likely) final Splatfest in the same year.Is this finally it? Is this when we finally get a Splatoon spinoff? It’s about time after 3 games. I don't think it's Bully, the game is available both on PS4 and Xbox one, both as HD emulated PS2/Xbox 360 classics. If it's Bully it has to be for Switch only and has to be remastered in HD properly. I really doubt it'll happen.Somebody on the other forum said that it's probably Midnight Club LA, which makes a lot of sense.
Midnight Club is better.Dang I was hoping for Bully
I enjoyed Bully and have been hoping for a Bully 2 for a long time. Last I heard, Bully 2 was basically a dead project? (Died in "dev hell" or something like that)Probably Bully
To prepare us for Bully 2, surely
I’m gonna go on a limb as say switch 2 third party support will be the best of any Nintendo Console… I mean I get why third parties were hesitant at the start with switch after wii u fiasco. But I’m sure they don’t want to be late to the party, this times around. Hell the launch line up might be to crowded with games , with all companies trying to get aboard!
Hopefully another version of Skyrim. It's been too long. What do people expect from third-party software on Switch 2 that are games that already released on Switch?
My preference on star fox is to just go full third person shooter adventure game, using more standardized modern controls then whatever they were going for on assault with arwing objects in both open areas and some linear interior space battleship things that give off more standard starfox fare.I think Nintendo misjudged the franchise. They've run out of ideas internally and handled off to Namco and Platinum to do. Thinking the right solution is an arcade shooter experience.
To me, it's pretty clear Star Fox was always about it being a cinematic space shooter. I mean the SNES game ran at sub 20 fps, in an era when most SNES games were 60 fps and we all still loved it because it was f'ing polygons and look a those cool camera angles. I still love the original to this day and play through from time to time on NSO , my SNES or the SNES classic Mini, but people who didn't grow up with Star Fox on SNES have all told me it wasn't that fun to them, probably because of the frame rate, and not being there and having our imaginaitons fill in the missing parts of those cinematic cut scenes.
The cinematic part is very popular these days, and I think a tight 5 hour cinematic Star Fox game maybe 15 levels and the same 3 route split of the original but leaning heavily on story, atmosphere and talking muppets showing off the console's power by rendering it all raytraced DLSS'd 3D goodness would do well.
It would still have to be a mid-budget game, which is where the relatively short playtime is about, but a game that's like that I think can work.
Camelot is to small for even a remake of golden sun feasibly unless the studio expanded or they collaborate with another team?Camelot are sort of due this year, if we assume they're sticking to the 3 year cadence they've managed on Switch. It can also be a surprise GTAIV port.It was pointed out on Era that Take Two has another rerelease scheduled for release by the end of this quarter.

Oh I don’t see the Splatoon spinoff coming for years later.Do you reckon Side Order makes that less likely? I agree that it's about time Splatoon gets a spin off, I just can't pinpoint when it would happen because of Splatoon 3's release timing. I just don't know if they'd release the DLC, spin off and (likely) final Splatfest in the same year.
A few extra ideas that would fit the remake pattern would be:I'm curious. For those of you expecting the Switch 2 to launch next year, what games do you think will be released this year?
Well I asked the OP which report he’s referring to because I went back and found the one where T2 says they have two ports coming by end of fiscal 2024 which we’re in the last quarter of now.It can also be a surprise GTAIV port.
Old rumors that said that they scrapped RDR remaster (I think it was that Rockstar considered the option though they decided to not flip the table) also talked about a GTAIV port.
GTAIV can easily be a shadowdropped lol at next Nintendo presentation.
Note: You can change GTAIV with other Rockstar game like Midnight Club LA
Probably a port of RE4wonder if Capcom got anything cooking for the switch 2 launch window? probably something small like a new 2D mega man or Ace Attorney 7 if they did
AA7 is like 100% Switch title, just like how Great Ace Attorney 2 got released on 3DS after Switch was launched. They'll keep anything that can run on Switch on Switch.wonder if Capcom got anything cooking for the switch 2 launch window? probably something small like a new 2D mega man or Ace Attorney 7 if they did
I'm really hoping for Mega Man Legends collection or remake.AA7 is like 100% Switch title, just like how Great Ace Attorney 2 got released on 3DS after Switch was launched. They'll keep anything that can run on Switch on Switch.
Dragon's Dogma 2 and Resident Evil 4 remake are great options for launch window. Not in same month but I think DD2 has a shot to be day 1 title.
Probably SF6 first going by Nakayama’s comments & the series’ history with the launch of Nintendo systems, then RE4R not long after. Anything else that’s on PS4 will eventually make it over.wonder if Capcom got anything cooking for the switch 2 launch window? probably something small like a new 2D mega man or Ace Attorney 7 if they did
