Random Waffle House story: I live about a block or two away from a Waffle House. I was once talking to a guy at a hospital I was at for work in another town entirely, and we got to talking about where I lived, and he knew the area pretty well. I told him the rough cross-streets of my house and suddenly his eyes lit up and he got this giant smile on his face and said “oh you live by the WAFFLE HOUSE!” And I was just kind of like “ummm… yes?” It was so random.
 
Now I hope Grand Theft Auto VI has their own weebo Waffle House parodies.

Caught a nasty illness over the weekend that I still have. Big meh.

Hopefully something, at least. I think they will have some kind of presence when it comes to announcements.

I don't want to sound melodramatic but if Nintendo announce something at Geoff K's 2AM Americans Only Party I will assume they don't want Europeans playing it and I will never buy it. I am firmly committed to the spite.

I can't reasonably expect everyone else to have time based grudges. But I'm definitely going to follow through on my tantrum for sure (unless they announce something cool that I want)
 
shoutout to the japanese people who still bought pikmin 4 despite it being announced at 1am

maybe that's why it didn't get the switch boost...

Also, I hope so too! I think they will, they usually support the show in some way with some sort of presence, even if it's usually a smaller one, which is exciting!! :)

It's like Gen1 Pokémon where psychic types were only weak against psychic (and bug) types.

Bug type moves were piss weak, though, so that weakness only existed on paper.
 


No surprises here. Mass layoffs affect more than just those who were laid off. Not looking good for hopes that The Final Shape will be an amazing conclusion to the current Destiny story arc.

the thing about TotK as a follow-up to BotW is that it’s profoundly damning on the homophobia front

like BotW definitely had some rough homophobic flourishes, but there was enough room to “reclaim” some of it or have fun regardless. plenty of ambiguous spaces

TotK immediately shuts every remotely or inferably queer thing from BotW down — and not just homophobic punchlines

damningly so

and considering the whole bent of the plot is “restore the monarchy”

it just sits so sour in my mouth, especially when it coincides with the rising global tide of fascism

y’all are gonna be like “😮 omg no way that can’t be how it is”

but I’m fuckin’ right

Tell me more! I feel like Yona only exists because Nintendo saw people shipping Link and Sidon, but what else is there?
 
Annoying thing about being in west coast or mountain time is that the game awards start so early - although that’s the pre-show still, and the main event is going to be like 3.5 hours long, so it’s kind of a marathon anyway
