still. It was Interesting to see we had a leaker to that caliber for strictly Nintendo stuff. Would you like them to come back? Assuming they were taken down (not in that way lol)
 
No because I had the entire forum on ignore besides the general Nintendo thread because people were posting spoilers in every thread with no spoiler tags regardless if the topic was even about the leaks. Made browsing the internet a real pain in the ass. I vote to change this thread's premise to apologize to Nate for hating his podcast predictions.

I realize people have fun with the surprise of directs but like, c'mon. These are advertisements. It's not the same as a "spoiler" in a traditional sense. We also had a spoiler-free thread.

Doubted them last direct, proved they were right. They had to know the Ninjas were on their ass, and they still kept going on and the legend leaked Another Code which singlehandely hyped me for this direct.

Respect for a real one, rest in peace dog, hope the Ninjas were quick and didn't make you suffer too much.
 
Has there ever been such accurate leaks from one guy for two Directs in a row before? I have been following these closely since the very first one and I can't recall this ever happening before, only for a single Direct a few times.

They went radio silent from Saturday to today. Their first new tweet came after the Direct. Pyoro spent two days tweeting and joking, then nothing. It was weird.

Considering he said "what's the closer", and nothing afterwards, it was likely more fake leaker bait hence all the "delete your accounts".

Practicalbrush12 was a redditor that leaked multiple consecutive Directs a couple years back before they got obliterated off the face of the earth.

Then what's even the point of directs? Just drop everything as trailers on YouTube and Twitter and be done with it or better yet just have randos on Twitter post lists and ruin everything almost a week in advance because it makes them feel better. If you can't understand having no surprises in a direct ruins the enjoyment then stop watching the directs. Obviously it's just ads so why bother right? You can read articles about what was announced and be informed if thats all you care about from the direct. This is a videogame enthusiast forum so maybe you're on the wrong website.
 
The fact that he was right doesn't make me prefer birds over other animals yet. I DO like them for the amount of protein though, and photographing them is very relaxing as well.
 
Interesting that he wasn't actually caught given that he had stopped posting well before the direct was announced. Though having watched it, there wasn't actually much more of note for him to leak in the first place aside from Paper Mario.

Honestly, this just makes me less inclined to pay attention to things like Direct Speculation. I'm honestly glad I didn't for this direct (besides F-Zero 99, thanks threadbump) because I kinda dug seeing the Mario announcements. A bunch of leaks for everything just ruins the fun for me.

there are a few points to directs (from the marketing perspective of nintendo):

To get a lot of people to see games they wouldnt otherwise have done. a person may only think theyre interested in say prime 4 and zelda totk so if nintendo just put trailers on youtube they'd only see those trailers but with the direct format nintendo is able to show them more games they may end up buying

having it be an event also creates secondary advertising through social media like the very conversation we are having now which wouldn't be as intense for rando youtube trailer drops

and it also builds a sense of community between nintendo and its fans

but from my perspective it'd be perfectly fine if nintendo dropped trailers on youtube and people on places like famiboards twitter etc reposted them though if a direct is happening i may as well have it on in the background while doing other stuff

having suprises is great but they aren't lessened for me depending on when those suprises occur

and no im not on the wrong site because video games are my biggest hobby, i love them and i play more games from nintendo than any other publisher by far.
 
Not just everything thing, but every everything thing.

I generally don't like leaks fairly imminent to the show, but in this case I wasn't too bothered because none of what was leaked I found very interesting. And it helped me readjust expectations for F-Zero.
