News Nintendo Direct announced for June 21 (40 minutes long, focused on games releasing this year, 7AM Pacific, 10AM Eastern, 4PM Central European)

Planting my flag in the sand and saying Metroid Prime 4 and 2D Mario are the big holiday games. Yes, I know I'm a madman.
 
I thought the grumblings of July were like a “Miyamoto Plays Pikmin” presentation. But maybe it’s some Treehouses for games announced tomorrow? Or nothing lol

I’m down for a new 2D Mario, a top down Zelda, and honestly, just whatever at this point!
 
Tough for me to maintain hype or positivity at the moment, but I wanna give some more ups to @LukasManak22 for the perfect batting average. 2 for 2 this year, as far as I know.

Surprised it's that early with such a quick turnaround. Maybe a Treehouse is happening too.
 
Pikmin 4 is all I care about. They could surprise me with something else but it’s the only game I plan on purchasing from them for the rest of the year. Only third party games I would get excited for is something COD related or the real Laura Craft ports we want.

Something tells me that the FE remake is the SNES classic game remake :/

Though I’d like to believe that, when they mention classic SNES game, it’s a game that was also localized to other markets and not one that stayed in Japan

Can't be, it never released on the SNES ... only SFC. ;DD

2D Mario
Mario Party Superstars 2 (Gamecube era focused)
F-Zero GX Remastered

I guess Mario RPG remake is probable but I don't have faith in a random anonymous twitter user. You all forget how much time that kind of shit already happened lol, a random user getting some great track record for a few months, and suddenly being fed the wrongest leaks ever. But it'll be great if it happens !

Thanks for shepherding another speculation thread @Raccoon . Didn’t get a chance to say anything before the lock. I was a little worried there for a moment when it was a ghost town right after TOTK release, but @LukasManak22 optimism helped really get it going this last week (and the reassurance). Was actually a great time to post the speculation thread in retrospect.

Got the airing time wrong, but now we wait for Nate's predictions

If the leaks are true, I don't think this direct will have much for me (Mario is easily the Nintendo IP that interests me the least) but I have to say this was easily the most entertaining lead-up to a direct I've seen. So I'm hyped none the less.

I never should have doubted Nintendo, when I think they’ll drop a partner showcase they throw out a full direct.

Super hyped to finally see Wind Waker HD on switch. I know it’s not likely :(

What are we looking at as the big Nintendo announcements?

Let’s say a new 2D Mario and SMRPG remake are a given . Anything new Nintendo will announce that’s not a port or remake? A new Star Fox? A new Rhythm Heaven?
 
Prime 4 or Layton news pls.

Not gonna bother trying to predict new games, I want to be surprised on that front.

(Though I would still love it if any of the new DK/2D Mario/FE4 remake rumors happen.)

So exciting, knew it!!! Idk but TOTK DLC as opener and Prime 4 as closer makes sense. Already will be a great show but should be a bunch of other stuff too. Wish it was tonight though lol
 
Chris Dring just shot himself in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Famiboards culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is on other sites where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over on Famiboards you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the Famiboards users , after hearing about this, are not going to want to listen to Dring ever again, nor will they follow him on twitter This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Dring has alienated an entire market with this move.

Chris publicly apologize and kneel to Lukas or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Normally they're referring to the actual year, not financial? So whatever they have cooked for the rest of the year, so remakes/remasters, pikmin 4 and dlc?
