Would it though? I already wasn’t going to buy Pikmin 4. A Nintendo Direct before its release wouldn’t change that.

Imagine thinking Furukawa is going to speak to shareholders with only 2 announced games with release dates, one being stinky shit at 30$ and launching week from that and the second being Pikmin 4, launching month from that. And that's it, end of business. That's less than Wii U ever had. Good thing that by June 23rd we will have H2 lineup announced and all of you will once again praise my powers.

Switch isn’t the Wii U though. I think Nintendo will be fine with a couple of weeks of unannounced 2H software following Pikmin 4. If investors grill them, I think the Switch era has earned enough good will and trust in its 7th year to fend them off.

They will for sure grill them, you just can't have anything announced and yet saying we want to sell 15M Switches this FY and repeating once again your lines that "We're in uncharted territory" and "always working on hardware, nothing to announce".

I am so sure of Direct happening by June 23rd that I was no sure of something that much in my entire life.

You are talking about investors right? These the the type of people that are unhappy and unsatisfied even when a company reports good news.

What's the worst case scenario though if they get grilled? Couldn't he just say "stay tuned for more information on our upcoming software. we've got Pikmin 4 synergy with Pikmin Bloom and MP4 in the pipeline". I say let them get grilled. Once a generation can't be all that bad. There'll be another opportunity for questions August 3rd for their 3 month earnings release. I can see the Direct happening after Pikmin 4, but before 8/3. July 26 or Aug 2 makes sense, even if 8/2 cuts it real close.
 
Look, if Nintendo wants to wait until August to shadow drop a new Mario Baseball game, whom am I to argue?
 
TBH I’m quite sure of a Direct this month, I’m just not sure if it’s a Direct, Direct Mini, or Partner Showcase.

Maybe even a Twitter direct tbh

I wonder if Nintendo will consider a Digital event about Mario with heavy discount with existings Mario games and Mario 2D and Peaper Mario TTYD HD

You would have a both the Septmber game and the Holiday game ready for investors and please them in following the succes of the movie

There is no Q&A for earnings on August 3rd, next Q&A is with the earnings in November.
