Holy shit that's 100% so far, I know it won't stay that way but that's great to see lol.

Eurogamer going for the clicks with that new star system starting with TOTK.

Edit: I want to be clear, just in case this post garners more attention down the line of the thread: I’m not upset with the reviewer, or their opinion on the game. Just think that suddenly switching to a this scoring system and starting with TOTK is a strange choice. I would like to think I’d feel the same if they had scored it 5/5, but we all know how fickle our gamer hype brains can be sometimes.

97 at Opencritic, with 37 reviews. I wonder if it'll drop down in the long run to 95, which was my prediction.

Seems like the re-used map is controversial, as many of us suspected. I can see this being the most divisive thing about this game for the general fanbase too.

Let me get it straight: eurogamer changed its review system from 4 to 5 stars a day before just to give Totk 4/5?
I mean come on now...

Higher than I was expecting, nice.
Wonder how many reviews are gonna be full of spoilers, I wanna watch the IGN one but I'm scared they'll inexplicably put something major in there for no reason.

It’s a very, very strong 9 out of 10 from me at Gamereactor Denmark! Spectacular game that improves upon its predecessor in every conceivable way. Some truly amazing vertical level design in there that made me feel like I was playing Super Mario Galaxy 3 with Link as the hero. However, as someone who completed all shrines in BOTW and turned every stone in that world, the structural similarities and shared surface world between the two games occasionally made me wish they had opted for an entirely fresh setting.

I was just here to make sure this wasn’t a red fall situation. Now I can go about my day with only hype. No fear.

Yeah I ain't watching any videos until I'm several dozens of hours into the game. Would love to know what the DF guys have to say though.

Amazing review scores as expected. My copy shipped just this morning, very excited!

How do you give a game a 9.75. How in the world do you grade out to the hundredths lmao. So odd
I mean... 39/40 - God-awesome-game-but-nothing-can-be-perfect kind of vibe, essentially.

The Eurogamer review is interesting; it seems the major issue is that the gameplay loop is more involved and the world/structure less austere than Breath of the Wild, with a bigger emphasis on collecting things to create your various UltraHand contraptions that enable greater exploration. They also seemed to not very fond of the Chasms, which I'm just learning about, which sounds like a much more challenging place to navigate than anything Zelda has previously done.

Polygon are slightly critical of the main story quests/dungeons - saying it disrupts the fantasy of player freedom, and is a slight return to the more rigid formula of the series past (so some fans might like it). Those are the only two real complaints I've read so far, which is interesting, and both reviews are still enormously positive.
