Fun Club Describe a game poorly and let others guess.

Starship captain runs around the galaxy searching blue alien booty and selling everything including wildlife, coordinates, metals and even crewmembers as slaves if necessary. Occasionally blows other ships into dust or speeds up evolution of alien species. Also friends with swearing bird aliens.

Well the third one is Mario Odyssey, the first is Mario 64, and based on that I feel like the 2nd one should also be a Mario game but I can't come up with any

Apprehensive main character goes on a journey after a loss of a dear friend, undergoing a upswing level of internal conflict and character development at the result. Travels in a group, as the group fight the colleague that killed their friend along the way, they find out they the MC has been deceased before and their only function is as a vessel for the main antagonist true motive.

And unlikely groups soon become friends as they notice similarities.
 
I'm going to toss this one out again to see if anyone can get it.

Man loses prized possession in a bet, engages in wacky hijinks to get it back.

Someone already guessed Yakuza, and while it isn't that, it is a game with crime in it.
