Tbh that's more of in an indicator to me that it's coming than anything. Why would they wait to remove all the references until now... unless it's coming in the next patch and they're hiding stuff

  • first, the name. Side Order. Very clever.
  • two Off the Hook songs are about color: Color Pulse and Acid Hues
  • the player has some sort of multicolored device on their waistband (image below) that we think is a color switcher
  • accordingly, we believe the levels will have multiple ink colors. maybe four because of the expansion pass logo?
  • lastly, Pearl is wearing a space jacket of some sort. with the elevator I think we're going back to space

edit: also, I just realized their tentacles are brown, like a bunch of paint colors mixed together

these days I'm thinking the player can swim through brown ink but only shoot special red, yellow, and blue inks that can mix. enemies will shoot various colors and must be combined to brown
 
Been using Splat Brella lately and it's nice to see Brella shields have some issues fixed. However on short range they still have problems. You might as well have no shield when doing close combat against a Sloshing Machine, it can simply damage you through the shield. And some other weapons such as Splattershot and Splatanas also seem to ignore the shield on short range

The English text implies he had 1 foot before he split himself in half and got deep fried, so definitely not. He must have some kind of prosthetic

The Japanese text doesn't mention the left and right feet thing but does say he became a filet to get the job. Self-mutilation seems like it's a fairly normal thing in the Splatoon world. Presumably he also has a prosthetic skeleton if his real one was actually removed, he wouldn't be able to stand there if he was just a bunch of deepfried skin and muscle

Hey, a lot of fish have anuses right below their heads. Angelfish, knifefish, the organs are basically scrunched up by the head and most of the fish is a battery of muscle.

given some things we’ve seen on the datamine like updates to salmon run with like a balloon and rail boss or something, seems possible they’ll come with the new season?)

So why they have not said in Direct that it launches on February 28th imao. And that's not a Spring.

Now, I have no doubt that Side Order could be like Summer shadowdrop, even if they don't even mentioned vague 2023.

Couldn't fit the last 2 kits (assuming every season has 10 new kits) and there could be more stuff like Big Run 2, if it's not today they'll have to tweet a lot more than usual so idk (I'm 100% on copium)

Edit: And I forgot about a likely new Salmon Run stage

I think Side Order will either drop on June 1st or September 1st alongside a new season. I hope we get it sooner tho!

I think it's a good candidate for late June and then new season on July 1st. If they are indeed doing a June Direct this would be perfect shadowdrop. I remember that at E3 2018 it was still "Summer 2018" in the sizzlereel but it was out right next day when Nogami announced it at Splatoon Championship.

The seasons are predictable every 3 months: September 1 - December 1 - March 1 - June 1 - repeat
 
them not even giving a release date for inkopolis in the direct because of the gag order on season 3 was so based

It's unlikely, you can see in some of the trailer shots that it has a joystick and a button, not the 4 buttons that Squidbeatz 2 uses. Squid jump, race, and ball are possible but I don't think they would mix and match Squidbeatz 1 and 2/3.
