Usually don't post random Reddit leaks tho this person has gotten a few Nintendo announcements right tho has had some misses. A Reddit mod from /r/GamingLeaksAndRumours has received messages from user Fun_Way_6592 (https://old.reddit.com/user/Fun_Way_6592) who has teased several Nintendo announcements this year including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom title.

Recently they have messaged the mod with "Do you think everyone is primed and ready?", is it finally time for Metroid Prime to come out of retirement?

Why not share more of the hits and misses so we can judge credibility?
I added a page of "predictions" they have made with one particular being wrong. Won't add more as it will clutter the thread post but I have included the user page with his "predictions".

I don't remember there being any other widespread hints at "Tears of the Kingdom" as a subtitle, but Metroid Prime being seen or released in some capacity in 2023 seems a fairly likely bet. We know Retro Studios finished something in September 2021, we know Nintendo have plans for Metroid as a whole, and multiple fairly reliable people went on the record to say Metroid Prime 1 has been remastered for Switch.

The more 'recent' rumour about Prime stems from September 2021 and it's one I'm inclined to believe. I'd guess it hasn't released yet either because other projects are shifting around or being pushed back, or because Nintendo want to tie the promotion and release of a Prime remaster to Prime 4 in some capacity.

Well, beloved and respected insiders (and deservedly so) like Emily and Nate vouched about the existence of this remake. To me, Is a matter of when and not if.

Im so tired of the riddles at this point. Haha so ill just say “sure dude” and let myself get pleasantly surprised if something happens

Considering he seems pretty accurate I'm surprised I'd not heard of him till now. Though part of me also thinks maybe a lot of that stuff was semi-guessable?
I don't think Nintendo would announce anything over the weekend so maybe a Twitter announcement next week sometime?

I finally got around to playing MP1 this month and beat it two weeks ago, so if this is really it you can thank me later.

I still think the Prime remasters' existence is a massive misunderstanding at best

Nah I doubt it, there's no way there will be a full direct in January
I actually think things may change, this time.

For example, Bayonetta Origins (which launches March 17) likely needs a good-sized Direct to showcase to more people why the game will be worth full price and possibly being March's main title. February would be a bit too late to kick off that kind of marketing campaign, in my eyes.

Has the mod actually posted the dm he received? Not saying he's lying about it but it would be nice to see just to know it actually happened.
Also a little sus that his biggest claim being the Zelda name is through a reddit dm rather than a public post like the other stuff

April release?

-January: Fire Emblem
-February: Kirby
-March: Bayonetta
-April: Metroid Prime
-May: Zelda

Pretty solid first half, imo.

Seems like that leaker has a good track record.
But... We're 2 days away from 2023.
The other stuff were claims for like the day after.
Is this hinting at a Metroid Prime Twitter drop out of nowhere? I would love this, because if not, it's likely for a February Direct.

So what are we expecting?
a) Trailer being dropped anytime between now and like January 2nd;
b) A January Direct actually happening;
c) It's a tease for February Direct, we'll have 2 months of pain.

I think January Direct is more likely tho if that's the case it probably a Mini like in 2018

....Can someone explain to me why this is so wild? Was there another rumor I missed? This just seems like someone continuing to hint at a game that's been long rumored for years.
we've just had so much happen this week

a barrage of buzzer beaters for 2022 rumors

TOTK Switch OLED got leaked last night and a cancelled Switch Pro was talked about a few days ago.

I believe it

I was thinking that Nintendo might do Zelda Direct, Twitter drops for first party and a partner showcase instead of the Feb Direct this year anyway due to TotK and the movie
