OMG YOU CAN PET THE KITTY IN SPIRITFARER

I REPEAT: YOU CAN PET THE KITTY IN SPIRITFARER!!

Four is the only number that has the same amount of characters as the number it denotes. probably

There's a character counter in the bottom-right corner of the text editor now.
Thought it would be a nice addition, and handy for any members trying to set any records for longest ST ever.

...or posting the entire Bee Movie text

(you will be arrested if you do this btw)
Can you add a way to disable/hide the character counter maybe as a button in the top bar? It gets in the way on mobile and is also kind of distracting / less chill. Cool feature to have otherwise though!

Better than expected election results
Sports story release month
I still suck at Splatoon 3

“2 out of 3 ain’t bad”

I forget, when is the general sales day for the Eshop? I’m expecting Sd Gundam battle alliance to show up in the next one or two as it went on sale on xbox

I haven't seen Andor, but I saw a clip of the "what do I sacrifice" speech on YouTube today and that's easily the best script and acting I've seen out of Star Wars. Just wow.

My drawing tablet pen has officially broken (has been crappy for the last week) and the closest I can get a replacement is 2 weeks from now :(

Until yesterday, I had not touched a Sonic game in 10+ years

The last time I remember playing one, I was a little boy on Christmas morning in (what I believe was) 2009

I picked up Sonic Frontiers

It is damn good

This is Switchum’s Official Review by the way; I will not take further questions at this time

I was a little boy....................... in 2009

I feel kind of bad for people who missed out on life pre-9/11. Back when there was some level of optimism for the future, before it all came crashing down and all the adults lost their fucking minds.

In 2009 I was celebrating my 1 year anniversary of me having a job. My 4th job ever, in fact. At the company I’m still at.

You can always count on me to remind you of how old you are. You know, just in case your birthday doesn't do that enough.

In 2009 I was in elementary school and didn’t even play video games yet. Didn’t get a DS until 2010.

Yeahh.. I graduated from high school in 2009.

This board is full of senior citizens and then weirdly there’s like four twenty year olds who like hanging out with us.
four twenty
Haha blaze it

Fellow high school graduate of 2009, what's good!

I'm a classic rock guy through and through but listening to this mashup and having distinct memories come flooding back from Frosh Week and just...damn, I'm all misty eyed now

Now the only thing I'm optimistic about is a 2023 release for Super Switch 😏

Damn

That kind of employment consistency is the dream

nintendo? who cares, I have a small pizzeria

Thank you very much.

But is the full question and answer session somewhere or translated? Thanks.
Far as I know that PDF link is the only collection of the Q&A session, but we probably won't see the official translation for another week or so

It keeps covering some of the lower right text I write on mobile. I'd post a screenshot over in the feedback thread, but I'm on my commute right now.

This is not the discussion I was expecting would prompt from this message, but hey, I think it’s a cool conversation.

In 2009, I was but a mere third-grader, ready to take on the world. A friend that I had back then would have me over to his house for sleepovers - and every time I’d spend the night, we’d wake up at 5AM and head downstairs to play Super Mario Galaxy. He introduced me to my love for Super Mario - playing in his basement at 5 in the morning is the first really special memory I have with Super Mario. I loved playing the game with him; we’d take turns passing the Wii Remote back and forth taking “turns” playing. The only problem was, I only went over for sleepovers every now and again, and could otherwise not play the game whatsoever.

Eventually, my family got a Wii of our own, and naturally I begged my parents to get me Super Mario Galaxy. I spent many months with a Wii, but no Galaxy to accompany it.

One day, my parents struck me a deal: if I learned how to ride my bike, they would finally buy me a copy of my own. I had not been able to ride my bike before; I would always fall. But as soon as that game was on the line - the game that I had spent hours playing at my friend’s house in the middle of the night - everything changed. I remember riding down the sidewalk of my street with my dad helping me stay upright. With some practice, I could finally ride on my own. I rode around the park, later that very same day. For years, I had failed to ride my bike successfully, but suddenly, I could do it.

Hours later, I sat in front of my TV playing through Good Egg Galaxy. I finally had it. I finally had Super Mario.

I will always remember that day as the one where I got the game I had wanted so badly - but I will also remember it as the day I learned how to ride a bike.

I can’t believe there are users on Famiboards dot com that were already born in the year 2009. This isn’t a message board, it’s like the Jurassic Park in here. Somebody call Indiana Jones or something.

Hey I'm just impressed that someone knows about Jurassic Park and didn't default to Jurassic World. 😏

Want me to shock you?

When i was born, the world was without Pokemon, Spongebob, without social media and "mobile" phones basically gave you cancer.

E: Yo, what is this Famicoins thing i'm just seeing under my badges here? That wasn't there before?

I always get a kick out of telling the kids I teach that I am older than Google, Facebook, or Youtube.
They look at you like you just told them you remember the dinosaurs haha
