It's finally Halloween. I'm so happy it's almost over. My town is crazy busy during Halloween and driving has been a nightmare because of all the tourists.

No, but there's a more in depth explanation on his patreon.

Tl;dr, patreon wasn't generating enough money for him combined with Musk buying Twitter was a 1-2 punch for Nibel to bow out.

Would have liked to him still remain on twitter or an alternative and just be able to talk to. No need to be the central place for gaming news on that site. But it is his desicion and from when he opened that Patreon it seemed like he won't have as much time.

I enjoyed Nibel on Twitter. Even if he stopped posting news, wish he just hung out. He usually replied and joked around with Wario and Zhuge at least. Managing huge accounts is super stressful though and with moderation about to be gutted with Twitter collapsing I get it though.
 
I can understand him. Being the quickest for news and events incl. making screenshots is something that you can "freely" do when in school and so on. But anything above, it's just a massive busywork without any returns.

But i also understand that the Patreon idea didn't work out. Maybe if he would've included more to it, dunno a weekly podcast or trying to get some interviews from using the reach he had.

Disclaimer: I wasn't subbed to his Twitter or Patreon and have no idea if he indeed offered more on it.
 
Revelatory moment this weekend was realizing that by not pre-ordering Bayonetta 3 I can comfortably spend more time with finishing up Bayo 2 Normal difficulty, work on the collectibles and unlocks, and then probably either go back to Live A Live or making sure I've got my 3DS and Wii U affairs in order before the shops get slammed next year.

FOMO sucks.

Thank you so much for making this, and for @Barely Able doing the curation. I enjoy jazz but I'm usually listening to the radio while reading this thread in the morning when embeds are posted and I'm apparently too lazy to mute the radio stream and open the embed in a new tab so it doesn't stop when I move to the next page. But! I will be giving the list a play this week for sure 😄

Not partying either (haven't actually done a halloween party ever, seems like too much work / slightly obnoxious) but I carved a pumpkin last night for the first time in a decade! I'm treating myself tonight to The Greatpumpkin Charlie Brown and continuing to watch Treehouse of Horror. I got as far as the 4th one before I started falling asleep on Saturday 😅
 
Does Target do release day shipping for preorders? I don't normally ever do preorders, but I've got this $40 coupon for opening a Red Card account and I used it on God of War. It says delivery estimate between 11/9 and 11/15 which seems ridiculous.

CRJ's The Loneliest Time should arrive on vinyl today and I am looking forward to spinning Got a Beach House in Malibu, and I'm probably gonna hurt your feelings~

A shame to see Nibel depart, but I can't say I blame him. I'm not about to delete my Twitter account yet, but I'm probably just using it as little as I currently am if not less.

As my for my last comment in this stream of conscious rambling, I'm finally approaching the end of The Legend of Korra. I did watch it as it aired live, but I missed the last five or six episodes and had the ending spoiled for me. I still know who ends up with whom, but I forgot so much that happened leading up to it that it finally feels like a brand new story again. Some damn fine cartoon-smithing, if you ask me.

I think I got burned on my Live A Live pre-order. If you say you’ll pick up at your local store however you’re good.

I swear I experience time dilation when playing different games. It took me about 2 weeks to complete Bayonetta 2. About 8 hours of total game time. Playing one level felt like playing an hour each time. Meanwhile, I just started Persona 5 Royal on Friday and I'm already at 10 hours played, surpassing my playtime with Bayo 2 in just three days.

I was briefly trying resident evil 3 this morning but decided not to pursue any further

I’m just waiting it out till my therapy Wednesday

I’m watching old Halloween specials thanks to streaming services today and some treehouse of horror episodes

I have some nice ones from the industry. I have a one from Ono, the previous Street Fighter head honcho, on a t-shirt that looks like Blanka's chest.
Or a photo with Suda51 where he gives me bunny ears. And an autograph card of him where he drew himself a mustache on the picture while signing.

Also have photos with Kojima and Capcom's Tsujimoto of MonHun fame.

Persona 5 just sucks time out of your life. I'm at 30 hours since it came out and I don't feel like I've had much time for gaming but apparently I've had 30 hours' worth!

Kinda wild how busy this month felt - and I didn't even buy any of the month's big games! That'll change in November with Pokemon. I better finish Odyssey again before that point!

Sucks to see Nibel go, but he has his reasons and I'm glad he's both being realistic with himself and sticking up to his morals. Hope that he has stable footing and I wish him the best!
 
I let my girlfriend beat me in Switch Sports Tennis and now she won't let me live it down. I've created a monster!!!
