Been mostly on a social media blackout for the last few weeks until now so I could avoid Xenoblade spoilers. Wrapped up Xenoblade 3 about an hour ago and... Man, what a game. Hope everyone else that played or is playing it enjoys it as much as I did.

I was just having a dream that Phil Collins himself released a bunch of DKC2 remixes on youtube, like the songs were actually there in my dream and I was listening to them, but then fuckin cats outside were fighting so hard and loud that it woke me up and now I'm sitting here wide awake at 3am wishing I could remember the music they interrupted

If Nintendo were to give their videogames a sequenced number as Sony does with the Playstation, their next device would be Nintendo 15?

Wouldn't it technically be Nintendo 8? Sony obviously never counted their handhelds (PSP and PS Vita), after all

They usually lump Game Boy and Game Boy Color together, despite back then being advertised as its own platform.. so I guess we'd be on the Nintendo 14.

Though there's still the Color-TV systems before the NES and plenty of Arcade games...

I've hit a slump in Elden Ring and am not sure if I want to keep playing.

There are two bosses I'm unable to beat, and the thing I usually did in these cases (went to do something else) doesn't really work since I'm so late in the game I don't think I have anything significant to explore. I could probably make it by just trying harder, looking for tips online or whatever, but I may not care enough, lol.

Edit: I googled it, and one of these is in fact the final boss. 😅

You are right. Handheld is way better. Looks really like they messed something up for TV mode in the last patch. I should try a homebrew app that forces handheld speccs while docked… that could help too.

I like this and hearing the main theme or remix of the main theme in the final battle, especially if it's at the climax of the battle.

your mileage may vary on this but have you considered like… setting down your controllers and using them kinda like keyboards to play lower intensity stuff?

I did something similar when my wrist was fucked

but that may be more of a “suswave will do it for the gag instead of comfort and efficiency” thing than a regular person thing

I haven’t kept track of whether this is a chronic or acute thing, but wondering whether the Xbox adaptive controllers might be worth looking into at all? If this is recurring it might help your situation.
 
Got back into Ring Fit Adventure for a few days there and I've got the sore legs to prove it. Squats are the true measure of how long it's been since you last played!

No joke, at parties where there's pizza and games and I don't wanna get a controller all greasy I have been known to lay it flat keyboard style and do a thumb on the stick and fingers on the buttons and play games one-handed like that.

Although I may have been doing it for the gag, too. 😅

I mean I’m assuming your doctor is recommending that because the wrist positioning is bad holding a controlled normally so this was more of an adaptive suggestion for the weeks you’re not supposed to play games the “regular” way

but if you’d rather not try until later that’s totally okay

Yeah I could try that later. They don't want me holding it the normal way or putting a lot of weight on it
