OC went up to 87, think it’ll keep going up since it’s like 30 behind Meta right now. Think it could go even higher than meta since it won’t weigh the GI 7 higher

I will be surprised if SH2 is more than a 85, it lacks the style that made Persona so loved and isn’t as unique as SMTV (which also had one of the best exploration recently in a JRPG).
 
For all the people intrested in a review of the game ....ACG, mostly a PC ( master race) reviewer and normally not really a Nintendo type took a look a the game...



He loved it!

Also very interesting considerations on Graphics, enviroments, and story.
In general also a very analytical review , recommend it if you are on the fence about the game.
 
Ah yes. Waiting till 9 to see that the game is being loved. Friday can't come soon enough, I also have the day off today. I can sleep knowing come Friday I would be in a cave playing this game.

As someone who strongly prefers Xenoblade 1 to 2, very happy to hear 3 is much closer in tone and atmosphere to 1. Taking the amazing combat system of Xenoblade 2 might make this the best one yet :)

Only thing I need at the Game Awards is for Xenoblade 3 to be nominated for GOTY, even tho Elden Ring is 100% takingit, and win best sountrack and narrative, because nothing that has released so far or that it's coming seems likely to have something better in those two categories.
at least soundtrack it has to win.

Looking forward to how many reviews contain this following statement "It's like Persona, but without the [insert random characteristic about persona here]."
 
I watched many reviews and many are pretty glowing. Some reviewer didn't like the wordiness and how long the cutsenes can be, but i'm here for it. Show me all the drama in painstaking detail. The characters seem to all be getting their time to shine. Damn after watching all of these the wait has become even harder.
 
Is the HUD more customizable than 2? There's definitely quite a few elements I didn't need on screen in that game after learning the ropes.

it's not winning either of those, best soundtrack is probably going to elden ring like half of the awards and best narrative is going to god of war ragnarok or the last of us part 1 if they don't care about it being a remake

If they nominate TLOU part 1 again I will be so mad.
Elden Ring I don't see it getting best soundtrack. Fromsoft music tends to be completely ignored evenwhen it's better than the actual winner.
As for God of War, I think reviewers decides the nominies in mid october, so whether it does get nominated or not depends on when they get the review copies.

I think it will be great just dont think reviews tend to score JRPGs over 85 if it doesn't have a big element to distinguish themselves which I dont see rn for SH2

I saw this pop in the subs and my first thought was how did he even get a review copy. lol I remember in one of his videos, I think he mentioned that he doesn't do a lot of Nintendo stuff because of Nintendo's stance on Youtube in general so I'm surprised he was sent a review copy
 
Takahashi: The first title is kind of like a straight-A student for me. The second one is not quite a straight-A student, but it has a much brighter and more lighthearted start... For the third title, I wanted to stop being a goody two-shoes.

I’m surprised he did an XB3 review, he was always hesitant to do Nintendo reviews despite loving a lot of them, because Nintendo is hard to deal with on Youtube.

Gonna have to give his review a watch. I honestly think he has the best reviews in the entire industry. He’s very descriptive.

EDIT: Turns out there’s a lot of ACG fans here. Nice.
 
From some of the reviews I have watched, it looks like Monolith has continued to deliver everything that is so great about the Xenoblade games, namely the story, characters and world building while managing to improve the gameplay and make better side contents. I even heard there's a training/tutorial mode, which is really helpful. It's just as everyone expected, 3 is looking to be the best game in the series!
 
In my heart of hearts I believed it could hit 90. But the Switch first party curse strikes again and it lands in the 85-89 range

He says in the review that the game is actually from a local store haha
I said he loved the game....but now listening to it again..he is absolutely raving about it!
" absolutely worth getting"
" A game that does not stop surprising"
 
Yeah I'm really happy to see that the game looks to be one of the best in the series, monolith soft keeps on winning and xenoblade is becoming more and more one of nintendo biggest franchises; it's crazy to think that 10 years ago people had to beg noa to bring the first game in america.

They are the platform holder that invest more in JRPGs and probably the number 1 publisher outside of SE (which is basically JRPG the company). There is more room for JRPGs but they also have to invest in other genres they are a platform holder
 
Scores are stuck at 64 on MC and 37 on OC.
Bott XC1DE and 2 had 92 on MC reviews so there should still be around 30 reviews left on MC and around 70-80 more on OC

I don’t think anyone Is gonna care Kotaku is blacklisted by Nintendo.

I recently noticed they’ve gotten themselves more hated then I recall. Much more.
