Fuck it let's go unrealistic

Final Fantasy XVII
The Last of Us Part 1.5
Banjo Threeie
Capcom vs Nintendo
Yakuza Party
F-Zero GX MAX
Project Runway: Fire Emblem

Yeah, I know I'm coming from a privileged perspective since I'm able to own a Switch and Xbox, but 3rd party on Switch generally does so little for me because of game pass. Can't get excited about Automata when it's been on Game Pass for like 2+ years. But Mario + Rabbids and any surprises have my interest
Ah, but now it's not on GamePass

As I realized to my dismay when I decided I wanted to start playing it about a month ago

This show speaks to me so directly right now. I'm halfway through Mass Effect 2 as a comfort gaming shelter from severe real world pressure.

But quit doing the valuable mental health talk and SPILL THE NINTENDER BEANS YOU COWARDS

joking people need to hear many reasons about why old games and repeat games are valuable and they need to be able to talk openly about how you can handle emotional and mental wellbeing

I'm saying that the premise of your argument ("Bayonetta 3 can be part of a Partner Direct because it's not a first party game") is flawed.

I don't know if it will be featured in the Direct because I don't think Nintendo has rules that are set in stone about which games can be part of these. But if there is a rule ("no first party games in Partner Directs") then Bayonetta 3 wouldn't be featured in a Partner Showcase, that's all.
You can't be the one to say it's flawed unless Nintendo outright says Bayonetta wouldn't be in a Partner's Showcase. It's third party property developed by a third party developer so as far as we know it could be fair game.

And going back to the Live A Live example, that's also different because it's not published by Nintendo worldwide. Nintendo is publishing Bayonetta 3 in all regions which is different from both the LAL and Rabbids examples you used.

Is this a Samushunter parody account?
The joke may be that they're actually legit, looking at their info. Truly the opposite of Samushunter

I haven't checked it against when that info was commonly known and they could've started off with the "post n' delete" trick to build a record but their info seems solid enough at first glance.

Again, Bayo 3 is a third party IP developed by a third party partner

If they want to show it here, it qualifies. Doesn’t matter that Nintendo funded it, that’s all behind the scenes stuff and they are presenting this to US as a partner showcase.

Jeff suggests another Mini in July for Nintendo games (I think this is informed speculation rather than certain leak); also says Metroid Prime remaster is definitively a holiday release.

It's either definite speculation or he's very, very good at disguising a leak as speculation. Basically saying that a Prime remaster, Advance Wars and Bayonetta 3 releases aren't quite 'big' enough for a full blown Direct so it would be a Mini next month.

I would imagine anything that is not internally developed at EPD or Nintendo's owned studios like NST, Retro, NLG, Monolithsoft, 1-Up, or NdCube is fair game to show up. That could mean Nintendo produced titles from Good Feel, Grezzo, Platinum Games, Intelligent Systems, Hal, Gamefreak, etc. They may be published by Nintendo, but are developed by third parties (or partners). At least I hope so as I would love to see what Good Feel and Grezzo have been doing these last few years as well as what Fire Emblem looks like in its current state.

Paraphrasing Grubb:
  • Nintendo's approach will be smaller Directs spread out, game-specific. Expects Directs for Nintendo first-party games in near future, possibly throughout July.
  • Metroid Prime remake holiday game, possibly November for 25th anniversary.

Can’t wait! 😀 some cool news, and ports (persona :D) will tide me over + Xenoblade 3. Happy to be a Nintendo fan. While this isn’t the direct everyone wanted, and I do hope we get a full blown direct later (August, or would that be a dedicated solution 3 direct?), I am happy with this news. Excited.

I mean to be fair Emily said ages ago that the Prime remaster could easily be a holiday release to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original US release. That makes it a holiday 2022 title.

Jeff Grubb actually just said that Metroid Prime 2 and 3 are also actually coming, like not up in the air but actually coming to Switch, although not with the same treatment as MP1, just updated controls and such and touched up a bit

Only title that Nintendo considers 1st party that was shown in a Partner was Buddy Mission BOND, so I dont know if that is really how Nintendo thinks games can or cant fit on a Partner Direct. We will probably never know unless they are asked in the end anyway and if Nintendo thinks Bayo 3 (or a new FE/Kirby) would benefit from being in a Partner they would probably do it anyway

Jeff’s “most likely Mini for first party in July” seemed like some speculation and maybe some inside info. It was a little hard to gauge

Yep, I'm good with this. Give me little videos and bits of info through the summer. Gives me something to always look forward to.

I loved that last week we had the XB3 blowout, then a partner direct tomorrow, and then M+R blowout on Wednesday.

I can get used to this method for the summer. :D

Damn. Jeff suggesting that 2 and 3 remasters are coming before 4.

Retro too busy BBQing to bother making a new game :-(

There it is. Metroid Prime HD for 2022, the other two for down the road. Great that all 3 will be coming to Switch.

That makes sense. I figured this would happen. It seemed weird they wouldn’t also come before Prime 4
