I am baffled, but I do generally like third party announcements more than first so I'm in.

While not what most of us wanted, it is cool that it is that lengthy. I don’t think that we’ll see a series of these like In 2020, they don’t call it "June", which would imply more.
Regarding Nintendo Stuff I feel like Mario Rabbids is very likely and Bayonetta is also somewhat possible. With the Ubisoft Gameplay Demo it actually makes sense to do this showcase.
I fully expect them to do more smaller directs until or after september, like for Splatoon, hopefully Metroid, maybe Zelda or a bunch of Mario Stuff.
I am feeling insanely vindicated right now, even if I eventually conceded to the general mini camp"Nintendo will never do a Partner Direct anymore, that was only because of the pandemic!"
I don’t think so honestly. I wonder if they do have a few more announcements on their part for the latter half of the year but don’t want third parties to get lost in the shuffle. What the F happend at Nintendo, something went wrong there that they bring back Partner Showcase, unless there will be some Twitter drop for there own things, but yeah... disappointing to say the least.
We used to get a Big First party holiday release as well as Pokémon, this has only really changed the last couple of years, which sucks for me as I don’t like Pokémon games.A new generation of Pokemon is as big as you can get for a Holiday title outside Animal Crossing or Mario Kart
Sub 30min = Mini Direct . It could have BOTW 2 , Odyssey 2 and a new Animal Crossing and even then it would be considered mini if It’s sub 30min (of course they wouldn’t make such event)Hell yeah, 25 minutes is pretty hefty. Dunno why they are calling it a “mini”.
I believe the Nate had mentioned he had heard something but would have to verify to say more. Are there really rumors for July or is this some kind of Fight Against the Machine defense measure where we collectively decide there is surely a July direct surely happening because why wouldn't there be?
Well, Platinum is technically a Nintendo partner so I guess it's not rulled out.Bayonetta 3 is officially listed as first-party by Nintendo. So I would fully expect it NOT to show up here.
AngerThis is such an out of touch announcement. I don't get how or why they aren't doing a regular direct as they def have something to show... they also need to show some stuff and date announcements. I get they hate people knowing their next move but they are doing things way too complicated sometimes for no reason.
I wouldn't look into any deeper than E3 was cancelled and they decided to split their announcements up this year, like Grubb suggested. What the F happend at Nintendo, something went wrong there that they bring back Partner Showcase, unless there will be some Twitter drop for there own things, but yeah... disappointing to say the least.
Huh?Denial
> THE TIME IS NOW !
Depression.My disappointment is immeasurable
on demand, no live stream
So because it's not live there will be nothing exciting?Since this is not live-streamed, I don't expect any third party surprises (no Persona, no Batman Collection, no FF Tactics / IX Remake...)
Join us at the light side, don't take things to serious and have some fun, be crazy!
It's weird isn't it. If they really wanted to support their partners, they would give this full Direct status and mix in a couple of first party things. The Mini Partner branding is really downplaying, so it probably isn't going to be very exciting.this is pretty long for a mini. did they just slap "mini" and "partner" on this thing because they know it's going to suck?
to me it means don't expect a huge surprise in the end that'll blow everyone's mindsI noticed this too, but...what doesn that mean? in terms of "prestige/contents" I mean..
Mario + Rabbids Direct announced as part of the event. So Mario & Rabbids isn't even going to be in it? Yeah this is gonna be some 6 year old ports with 20fps lol. Nintendo really didn't want to bring any hype with this years ''e3 times'' huh
Well, splatoon, pokemon, and mario rabbids are their big holiday games for this year. I imagine bayonetta is still in the “we hope we can hit 2022” phase at platinum, so its no surprise they are being silent right now. If they manage to get bayo ready for this year, i imagine it will get its own direct. But yeah, i think this is the year we are seeing most of the big delays caused by the pandemic, so they may not have more than that for this year. But i mean, hey, its better than microsofts output this year (pentiment looks cool tho)So am I right to assume no big first party titles for the holidays again as a September Direct would not leave a lot of time for marketing ect. ?
What stage of grief is whatever you're doingAnger
