I'm asking all of you to buy Advance Wars 1+2 reboot camp so that we can have a chance to get Golden Sun 1+2 Remake by Wayfoward...

...but I have a scenario where Grezzo is currently working on a Golden Sun reboot instead of a new 2D Zelda.

Regarding Camelot, I'm quite unsure what they're doing next. They haven't made a RPG in several years so I'm not confident on that, maybe some other sport for Mario?

And honestly Camelot’s RPG-lite efforts with Mario Tennis and Golf haven’t been great at all imo. Not sure if that’s due to development time limitations or talent

Seeing how Mario 64 got on NSO no problem, despite 3D All-Stars, I think we're fine if we eventually got the Game Boy line, and still some of the games could be remade;

Like,.. There's no way Link's Awakening is not part of the original GB NSO app, regardless of the remake available; Same goes for Advance Wars 1 and 2 if they do GBA NSO in the future.

Every time I am on holidays I somehow manage to take on a new home improvement project. This time it’s rearranging one half of the office and installing cable concealers for the media server and printer, in April we’re most likely going to paint the walls. Work never stops.

I wonder what's taking GB NSO so long. Nate said it was in and out of QA, so it's ready. I mean I guess the "easy" answer is "they're waiting for/figuring out Pokémon Stadium" but I dunno, I feel like they don't NEED that to launch it?

Exactly that, except about the whole console. It's important that their services have a perceived continued increase in value in order to maintain subscriptions. Hence them holding out on Earthbound and plugging them into a direct, that was the NSO drop of this last direct. Likewise. Mario Kart was the NSO Expansion Pak drop.

They probably looked ahead and realized it made more sense to space them out further, and perhaps were less trigger happy after the feedback to 64 NSO and want to get that resolved first before juggling more.

Or, perhaps there's some physical aspect (I dream of joycon style attachments for the portable platforms) that is delaying it due to covid.

I wish I had the energy for home improvement projects. Holidays/vacation for me is more exhausting than work.

I’m a naturally restless person so that definitely helps but I’m not sure if I’d manage doing any of this if I also had to take care of children.

Without spoiling anything, yes, the name "Chrono Trigger" will definitely factor into the story at some point.

I never knew what Crono's name had to do with anything beyond being a simple reference to the "Chrono" part of the game.

I will never forget Giant Bomb naming every character in that game the same as their default names but with B as the first consonant. Brono, Barle, Brog, etc

Another Feraligatr situation. In older Pokémon games character limit was 10, so they had to omit the last "o". They could have gone with another name but it seems taking one letter off was easier to do.

In anime they say its name as "Feraligator" after many people thought it was Ferali-gahtr, with no vowel between T and R.

In retrospect, it's hilarious, but at the time (and this applies to Chrono Trigger as well) dropping "unnecessary" letters in translated Japanese to English, text-heavy games was pretty common.

But now it results in canon names like Crono and Feraligatr which are great.

Honestly I think they should retroactively "fix" Feraligator.

Oh, I've actually been meaning to ask you if you're familiar with a CT romhack called Chrono Trigger+. It adds quite a bit to the game, especially towards the end. I've been playing it recently and it's kind of awesome to have a playthrough of CT surprise me.

Apparently still coming at some point? They still include Switch as a future platform in their marketing, but it's been years.
