Uhh, that's scary. You need to go to the doctor. If that isn't a normal headache something could be very wrong.
My dad said he checked my head and where it was hurting was on my temple so maybe too much pressure or something

There is a thing going on with our door constantly shocking us today so there may be a connection.

Right now I’m lying in bed

Have a story to tell you all. I was taking a shower when all of a sudden, the pressure from the water on my head was making the top left side of my head hurt real bad. I am out of the shower and now it’s hurting like crazy

This is not one of my normal headaches either. I’ve never had this happen before

Statistically it's nothing to worry about. But it's 100% a reason to call your doctor

I don't see how water pressure could cause that though, unless it's extraordinarily high. Same thing with the door. I'd go get it checked out at a MinuteClinic or a MedExpress or something similar.

You know who doesn't get headaches in the shower?

Smash fans.

We have a few ideas about the door and every time we had the breaker to our well out it caused it to shock us as we turned it off, nothing happened.

I wonder if the two are connected but I have no idea really. Dad really thinks it’s sinus related and the water on it made it worse some.

I have been dealing with sinus’s lately so possibly

Holy shit this brings back memories....

Not sure if I already posted in this topic. But this is the topic that will have new games announced.

I was playing SSHD earlier today and is it just me who thinks it basically looks as good as a modern-day Switch game? Looks truly fantastic.
The visuals and music is great. But the gameplay isn't for me. Which is sad cause I wanted to like it.

Was the pain right in your temple or more like behind the eye? I get cluster headaches which are concentrated right behind the eye and hurt like nothing I've ever experienced before.

Supposedly they can be triggered by changes in humidity or temperature.

I hope some company puts Google Stadia's tech to good use. Everything around Stadia is terrible, but the technology itself is great.

Worst headache I ever had was one that came on while I was at a Guardians game with my family. Come on around the 4th inning, so it was with me though the rest of the game, a 30 minute fireworks show, a walk back to the RTA, and the RTA ride back to the car. Finally was able to take two Motrin in the car and laid down on the back seats on the ride home. Honestly thought I was going to faint during the walking portion of the journey home.

That honestly sounds like what happened with that. Would hot water cause something like that?

every time I see "Mariko" I think of "Mikado," the nickname for the steam locomotive configuration of 2 leading wheels, 8 driving wheels, and 2 trailing wheels

I was going to post this in the hardware thread but they have it hard enough as is without peanut gallery shitposts

That's fair, I have no idea how it would work with a modern MMORPG (or whatever Destiny is).

Ask them when the ARM deal will go through.

Also congratulations!

Thanks and I'm gonna work on getting more contacts there. For now I'm only working with marketing department. So mostly focusing on what works best for attracting PC Gamers.

Cluster headaches are still a pretty big mystery to doctors.

They're not sure how they're caused and they have a pretty wide range of different periods and experiences. For me I used to get them for about 1-2 week clusters (each headache itself lasts like 20-30 minutes but they come in clusters of like 1-3 a day for a couple weeks) around when spring and fall would start. That's why I think mine is caused by changes in temperature but to be honest it might also be circadian rhythm. Ever since I started having a cup of coffee every morning I haven't gotten them at all.

If you've only gotten it once and you don't get it again it's probably not a cluster headache but if you do experience it again within a week or two it might be that. Caffeine was my cure but I'm sure it's different for everyone.

1. I strongly appreciate the esoteric train knowledge

2. I thought this place was founded on peanut gallery shitposts

I’ll have to keep note of that, thanks.

I did feel some pain on my left temple, when you mentioned that with your right made me remember that.

The headache has also moved to the front of my head, have experience with that before. I am probably off for tgw rest of the evening.

Still,I will keep an eye on this if it happens again

Yeah cluster headaches will always stay on one side of your head for each attack, it'll move around a bit, sometimes down from your eye to just above your jaw, but I never remember it at the front or middle of my head. I'm guessing that's not what you have.

Tomorrow's going to be a very.....intense day in Toronto with some of the Ottawa "Protesters" and others going to Queen's Park to "Protest" (Provincial level of government)

Some streets are already blocked, right near hospitals too, and shops are closing throughout the weekend.

At least there's a counter-protest happening. Thinking of going, but I'm a bit nervous something might break considering the protest is happening right near Queen's park......

Nothing more fun than being on hold to speak to your specialty pharmacy for a drug approval. Kill me.
looool yeah it’s a nightmare

plus there are so many ways to psychologically destroy someone in pain waiting on the phone

you’ve got your
  • silence (check)
  • silence with beeps (check)
  • hold music (check)
  • pre-recorded interjections (check)
  • white jazz (check)
  • asylum piano (check)
  • haunting phone distortion (check)
  • murder (check)

The front of my head is what my usual headaches do but everything else sounds like what you described

I don't know how to explain it, but every time I see the steam deck it just doesn't "feel" like it would be fun to play games on that thing. I can't really put it into words.
It looks heavy as fuck

The Switch is already a little too heavy, this thing looks like a cement truck

The worst is the voice activated bot before you can speak to an actual person.

"Please state the reason for your phone call"
"Drug pre-approval".
"I'm sorry. I did not recognize that response. Please state the reason for your phone call"

"Please state your birthday"
gives birthdays
"..........Please state your birthday"

Happy January 35th everyone! It's Friday!!!! What's everyone playing this weekend? I finished Chrono Cross last night, so I'm sort of between games at the moment. I like to let a game settle for a day or two before starting a new one. I'm not sure if that really makes sense to anyone, but I just like to have a little bit of space between games. Maybe it's because when I get into a game, I really get into it, and I spend a lot of time thinking about the game when I have the chance (as I'm sure a lot of you do as well), so it's nice to have a break from that.

I’m in the last third of Banjo-Kazooie, so that’s gonna have my full attention this weekend. If I play anything else, it’ll probably be a race or two in F1, or maybe some online matches in Mario Golf.

My favorite is the "Please pay attention as our options have recently changed!" that you get EVERY TIME you call in for literal years

I’m deeply fucking worried

Canada’s basic left is extremely complacent with a dash of non-US superiority (sorry gang but I’m calling it like it is) which means when fascy shit goes down, Canadians are like “omg how could this happen here?!” or “well it’s not the same as the really bad shit!”

and the resulting dearth of grassroots anti-fascism — something the US has significantly more of due to the more overt fascy shit and the usual infuriating struggle for basic rights — means that when you have people in trucks flying nazi flags descending on major cities and gathering guns, very few people are prepared to / willing to / know how to make that mindset truly unwelcome

we get stern tweets from MPs and a lot of “how?!” and small counter-protests that assume a level of decency and kernels of benevolent intent

and I have seen that hopeful mindset get people hurt. and get people killed.

so I’m really scared that the counter-protest is the Canadian equivalent of “uwu be nice to healthcare workers during your rally please!” and asking the attendees to dress distinctively and identifiably as healthcare workers, plus suggesting slogans that at minimum would get you a swirlie if these weren’t nazis…

isn’t going to be “counter” anything

and will be ignored if we’re lucky, or harmed if we’re not

this is a bunch of people rallied and incensed by misinformation and / or not caring about public health at best, and white nationalists both domestic and foreign at realistic (not even worst — considering the funders and influencers and flags flown this shit is bleak)

like don’t get me wrong I’m always pro countering stupid shit

but this truck shit isn’t a tidy little protest about perceived rights et cetera

it has ballooned in some areas and been hijacked in others and is a channel for vile shit

don’t get me wrong I didn’t write this all out to dunk on a good-faith counter-protest. I’m just really worried that the techniques in that document really fucking do not account for who they’re up against when healthcare workers are getting memos to not wear their scrubs and ID badges on the TTC because they could be targeted and assaulted on the way to work

it’s just fucking bad and scary and I’m so tired of being a teabag in a ceaseless cascade of horrors

I don’t want to have to be suggesting any of this

I want to believe everyone’s acting in the interest of others and community and kindness

but it’s not true

and we keep learning that the hard way

For anyone interested: this video shows how the skydiving mechanic will work in Botw2 according to the patents. It has some cool animations to better understand the concept 👍🏻

I'm in the mindset that if something were to happen, I wouldn't want to go at all. At best, it could result in me catching Covid from some of these hogs. At worse, physical assault. You already have the beginning with this.

I would like to give my support, and I might just drop by for a short period, but staying long term isn't something I'd do for the fear of a clash that could possibly brew.
