Oh, OK. My mistake there!

But, yeah, I'm not giving Nintendo the benefit of the doubt on this one given their history. It's not like if, say, Sega decided to suddenly start taking down fan games.
I definitely wish Youtube comes and say something at least.

I had to go through one last year and it was such a pain. At one point they insisted I had to pay like 1k per prescription until I eventually got redirected around the whole company and find out it was really like $5 lol.

The pharmacy is saying that they can't ship my drug because I have a $5k payment from January 2020 that I need to make. Yes, two years ago. My company's healthcare broker told me to get a statement confirming that I have these overdue payments on my account. I call the pharmacracy's billing number and the guy initially says he doesn't see any outstanding bills on my account. But after looking deeper, he says there may have been an error in the system that accidentally sent the bill to a collections agency instead of my insurance from 2019. This is why healthcare costs are so high in this stupid country.

amazingly people can say "it's nothing" and save 2-3 syllables

a very silly expression
I haven't heard the term "nothing burger" until Trump and his fans got obsessed with it. So it makes me wonder how anybody can use it without that connotation.

Even without that context it's an annoying term. Like, I get it. You're cute and funny. But speak like a normal person

When someone says it's a nothing burger nowadays, it's usually indication that that nothing is a whole lot of something that is far bigger to you even initially thought.

it's a nothing bunger

Had 2 party wipes in 20 minutes on Dungeon Encounters, both of them unavoidable, OHKOs for the whole party.

Pllllbbbbbtttt.

That's the type of game that makes a ton of sense as a cloud game.
On the contrary, multiplayer games are the worst choice for cloud gaming. You have to have perfect ping. There's a reason all cloud games on Switch have been strictly single player.

I kinda find it hilarious that Bungie looking at the tech giant Google's cloud gaming failure and thinking "Hey that's a great idea".

As the Stadia collapsing, cloud gaming needs to come to an end. It could come back when the internet technology allows lagless and super smooth gameplay. It's gonna take a while.

Back in my day MMORPGs had an option to be played fully on the cloud. I played City of Heroes like that a lot on several different computers.

It worked fine.

I've read that the Stadia version of Destiny 2 was pretty decent. The main issue was the lower player numbers. Destiny 2 is cross play, it is now cross save, but it is not cross buy. So you have buy each expansion for every device you want to play on. If you are already playing Destiny 2 on another system, there isn't a whole lot of incentive to play on Stadia despite it's ability to play basically anywhere.

Today’s dinner is chicken gyro pita and roasted potatoes. Made the tzatziki myself (did not make the yogurt obviously), which is pretty simple if anyone hasn’t done it.
That looks so good. I meant to ask on here earlier on Wednesday what you were having for dinner. Because I was having a hilariously sad meal. I've had to stick to eating cold foods only recently to avoid triggering my wife's persistent nausea, and I hadn't gone shopping in several days so this is what I scrounged up:

img_20220202_19510593fek88.jpg

It's...tortilla chips...with sliced baby carrots...grated cheddar...and some pineapple salsa. It was not very good. 🤣

On the bright side, I got a good grocery shop in yesterday, my wife wants me to try heated foods again to see if she can tolerate the scent, and I am excited for a warm meal tonight.

I was lazy and tired after work and shopping so I opted for a cold meal but it was a good one. We've got some sushi fans in here right?

Yeah games got a lot bigger these days. And the games are getting bigger at a much faster rate than our internet getting faster and more stable. The same company that brought Phantasy Stay Online 2 and DQ10 running perfectly on 3DS/Vita requires better and faster internet for Switch's cloud games.

Glad to hear your wife seems to be improving. Do like sushi. Not sure I’ve told this on here, but I used to work for a Japanese company and when the CEO came to visit he would bring his private sushi chef with him. When we had holiday events or whatever the company set out a station for us to get fresh sashimi, rolls or whatever the chef prepared. Was amazing.

That's fair, I have no idea how it would work with a modern MMORPG (or whatever Destiny is).
Just got my first deal/project with Nvidia.

Now to get some leaks 👀

I'm kidding no leaks and not gonna ask about anything in the pipeline.🤣
Ask them when the ARM deal will go through.

Also congratulations!

You know what phrase the Cheeto ruined for me? Sad! It's fine in a sentence but as one word it's ruined.

I had a similar thought once: why a game like Dead By Daylight that's already all online couldn't be streamed from a server for significantly improved graphics in addition to the multiplayer connection.

Just the sheer amount of data bandwidth required to transmit that kind of data and how limited it is on Switch is the biggest bottleneck. Having my Switch in handheld sitting three feet from my router, I think my best speeds on my Switch hit about 27mbps down/18mbps up. MVG tested the ethernet port on the OLED dock and despite a wired connection he got a max speed of ~50mbps down, but he figured it was based on the USB-C port having to also transfer data to the Switch while it's transmitting video and audio signals to the TV it's connected to.

It absolutely sucks ass, but I'm not paid nearly enough by Nintendo to engineer a cost effective solution that would open up the bandwidth and make it compatible with existing Switch hardware. I doubt they'd add an external antenna to the console that's prone to breaking off to improve the wifi chip (which isn't constrained by the USB-C bandwidth), nor include an extra USB-C port at the base of a new Switch that requires a new dock to support the additional speeds. Not to mention from cursory Google searches for the following numbers, USB-C/USB 3.1 tops out at 10GB/s transfer speed with current tech. (HDMI 2.0 cables transmit 18Gbps to achieve 4K/60, whereas 2.1 sends 48Gbps to achieve 4K/120Hz. Currently the Switch dock's HDMI 1.4 port does 10.2Gbps for 1080p/144Hz or 4K/30Hz)

I'd love to even get speeds around 300-400mbps for downloading software especially as file sizes keep ballooning, but unless I'm blowing smoke out my ass I don't think it's feasible in this iteration of Switch or future successors to improve the connection unless they go back to a TV stationary console/some (barring new USB 3.x protocol that has such a wide bandwidth that allows for 4K video and 5.1 surround sound audio to HDMI out, and enough lanes left for internet connection transferring without clogging up bandwidth.

God I hope this made sense and it's not the insane ramblings of a madman

Heck yeah! I had a black zip-up rectangle case (with a messenger style strap) that had spots in the bottom to hold my Game Gear, my Super Wide Gear, my AC adapter, games/batteries, etc…
I'm pretty sure I had the same case lol.

Just saw a man who looked like jason schrier on the street and honestly got more excited than any celebrity encounter I've had

Have a story to tell you all. I was taking a shower when all of a sudden, the pressure from the water on my head was making the top left side of my head hurt real bad. I am out of the shower and now it’s hurting like crazy

This is not one of my normal headaches either. I’ve never had this happen before

Uhh, that's scary. You need to go to the doctor. If that isn't a normal headache something could be very wrong.
