80% of my friends were playing ACNH at one point, so I knew it was going to be a big seller. I just didn't realize how big.

I mean the race is one of the OG aliens from a new hope, other than his colors being vibrant and the prosthetics he follows that basic design so I’d hope he’d translate well XD

Last DQ I played was VI which I liked actually, albeit it being a bit too old school for me at times.

Lots of cool deals, Bravely Default II, Xenoblade Definitive Edition and Paper Mario TOK for € 28 too

I have literally just finished the main story and I was assuming I couldn’t get through those yet for some reason, or needed one of the specialized Pokémon, or something

welp I’m gonna go break some rocks!
 
Pokemon Legends finally arrived. Work is surprisingly not crazy for once, so I might start playing early to wash the taste of my forced God of War refund out of my mouth

I actually tried throwing pokemon at them quite early on, but I guess I threw them wrong because it didn't work 😂

Been having motivational issues with gaming again. I want to continue and finish psychonauts 2 but I’m just not feeling it today.

I am enjoying the game but this happens with me from time to time

So I made my math and my backlog consists of ~72 games I already own across Switch, PS4, 3DS and DS.

That isn't counting several games I bought with the intention of replaying and haven't done it yet, nor some retro games on my SNES Classic and stuff like that. There are also several games that were already released I fully intend to buy but haven't yet.

Whelp, I guess accepting I have a problem is a first step.
 
I don’t even want to think about the size of my backlog since I stopped worrying about it a few years ago. I know for a fact it’s just gotten larger. The joys of being an adult.

Switch- 11
PS5- 4
PS4- 9
Wii-U- 3

So 27. A lot of those are from Black Friday where I stock up for the year. My problem now is most of these games are on the longer side (open world and RPGs) so I won't clean up so easily. Luckily I only have a few games I am getting at launch for the 1st half so hopefully I can clean up more.

Does the SEGA Picross have 3D audio? It's subtle, but I'm using headphones on the train and it seems like the music is stereo and moves like marking are binaural/thrown forwards.

I might just be imagining it, but it was enough to make me take off my headphones and make sure they were plugged in properly.
 
Don't ask me about my backlog, it's painful... I've got like 20 games on my 3DS backlog alone.

That's tiny, wow.

Only including games I actually want to play (got a ton of free stuff on Steam that I'll honestly probably never play), my backlog is technically 145 games. Actually 146 since Arceus arrived. And a lot of them, while not long, aren't exactly on the shorter side either (like 10+ hours).

Kind of depressing to think about, honestly. I'll never be able to finish all the games I own.

From what I read, It's more of the same and that's fine with me. The first one was excellent, I loved the third world environments.

The whole 500 hour thing is not the way to go on home consoles, but on Switch slow burner games feel right at home thanks to portability. Hopefully that native port leak is true.

I revisited DK64 this past week. Also would like to replay Jungle Beat if it ever gets a re-release.

And that is with a little bit of a recent shopping spree just because. :)

I've learned to balance my purchases a lot better. I rarely buy games at launch anymore (rip GCU). I also don't buy any game unless I know I will play it within a month or so (unless I get a super great deal). Most of my purchases are now relegated to Black Friday season.

I still have ridiculous backlogs for past consoles that I will probably never complete. As long as I can stay on top of the modern stuff, I feel good about myself.

just finished up assassin's creed 4. good game. ship combat is fun, fucking with the british is always cool and good. okayish story. spoiled myself by looking up some of the historical pirates tho. very pretty on the swoled screen. dunno if im gonna continue with the expansions or finish up another game but overall a good time.
 
I'm too scared to look at my Switch backlog 🤐 Let alone Wii U/PS4/360/Wii/Gamecube/N64/Sega Genesis/NES games I've yet to finish

I think back often to just how great a release DQ XIS was. If only we could see that kind of budget from Square for other releases on the platform.

Today’s dinner is chicken gyro pita and roasted potatoes. Made the tzatziki myself (did not make the yogurt obviously), which is pretty simple if anyone hasn’t done it.

Wish they just made the ship game its own thing and expand upon it. I know Skull & Bones was supposed to be that but it currently is vaporware. About the only fun I had with 4 especially when fighting a tougher ship.

Oof. Between this and GTA trilogy, seems like there are a couple of games out there that need a little more time in the oven. Can't even imagine how bad development was on Switch that they had to delay it at the 11th hour but still went ahead with the other platforms
