Apparently they are also called spider crickets for their resemblance to spiders, so one could say they are just like jumping spiders! Except instead of being a fuzzy little guy that does a little dance, they are big and not fuzzy and purposely jump at you to scare you (it works)!
 
On the one hand this is rad… on the other well this is kinda random on the picks, Megaton Musashi Wired world promo tourney launch day with a bunch of random media outlets
They couldn’t do better than gamerant for US tho DX
 
I'm always amused about how often I heard Breath of the Wild music, usually Hateno Village or Tarrey Town, as background music in random Youtube videos. They're often not even videos about games at all. I heard a lot of Mario Kart music as well. The Wii eShop music is used a lot, especially when video is cutting to a montage of sorts.

I have a question for y'all:
I forgot my Switch charger on my hometown, I know it's not recommended but can I use my phone charger(Redmi Note 9T) on the Switch, like, just once? Anything bad can happen if I plug it on the dock? Any of y'all ever used a non-Switch charger on your Switch?

I'm kinda desperated because I won't be going to my hometown that early and not playing for a while might drive me insane lol but if it can damage my Switch even if only used once, I'll just be economic with my battery and just play some ~30 min sections until I can go to my hometown.

I used my phone charger on mine years ago. The only difference is that it charges slower, afaik.

Thank you very much!! I'm less worried now, I thought it would like super charge or burn my switch or something lol. Gonna do it responsably tho and only of needed.

There's this one Simpsons channel that always uses the same selection of OC Remix tracks as background music. It's weird hearing obscure DKC3 music or Simon's Theme over a discussion of the character evolution of Marge Simpson in season 5 or something.

I've had three different Switches as I got a new one every revision, and all three have had absolutely no problems using any old charger. OnePlus, Samsung, Lenovo, it doesn't matter, it's a USB device. If the brick doesn't have enough juice it just won't charge as fast, and if it has too much juice, the Switch will tell it to cool its jets. I've charged my Switch with laptop chargers, off brand chargers, super fast chargers, PC USB ports, whatever.

It's just a USB device, it's absolutely fine to charge directly from a phone brick to your Switch.

The problem I'm aware of is that some combinations of third party dock and third party charge can cause problems, but as long as you're not very specifically using a charger that doesn't have the correct output mode while the system is in sleep mode while in a third party dock, it's really not a problem. My OLED Model seems to have absolutely no problem with my laptop power brick and a generic Samsung Dex compatible dongle for TV Mode. It doesn't LIKE it, but it certainly hasn't broken anything.

I also love the Nintendo Switch AC adapter. It's sooo versatile, if can charge my laptop, fast charge my phone or headphones, whatever, it's pretty ace. On the one hand I wish the cable was removable, on the other hand I like that it can't get lost or come loose. It's my favourite "charger" for anything because it seems to play nice with everything.
 
What if the first character revealed for Mario Kart 9 was Sperm Cell Bowser Jr.? (Basically, the baby version of Bowsie)

I’m going to finish up this study session before kicking back to play some games before I write the exam at 7pm ET.

I learned after my first math test that my brain can’t handle hours of studying right before a big test. I did that before the first math test and I totally blanked when I started writing. I won’t make that mistake this time, hence why I’m going to chill with some Ocarina of Time when I’m done studying.

Update: I got my mark today and I got a 91! I’m absolutely ecstatic! I was struggling so much at the start of the semester so it’s really motivating to see my studying pay off. It also makes me more confident in future math courses, since now I have more faith in myself that I’m able to do well.

All in all this is huge for me!

I've only ever used the official charger for my dock, but for just charging the thing I've been using phone chargers basically since 2017 without issue

I was literally about to mention this Simpsons channel! Been watching them for nearly a decade and I love how much their channel has grown over the years.

I got to the second last bar with my two best mons feeling like I had a chance, then a critical Flamethrower killed my Excadrill. At the very least, I hatched some good Eggs to use for my next run... but that might be a little while for now. I need a break from the heartbreak!
 
I had a strange dream in which the world was ending for some reason, and it kept cutting between me being in some sort of research station that got swallowed by a sea monster and me being at a Mexican restaurant with seatbelts.

I awoke feeling uneasy, which was not helped by a light in my bedroom being on when it shouldn't have been, plus apparently the power went out overnight.

I had a nightmare where I was banned from Famiboards last night, and it woke me up.
 
I had a dream there was a Switch 2, and it was exactly the same as Switch 1, but BIG.

Like, it was 15 inches or something? Just a big rectangle.

Gaming while taking a shit is really unhealthy, not joking. So is every other activity than shitting or wiping. The strain on your rectum can cause issues like haemorrhoids, fissures and even prolapses if gaming long enough. It's also really not hygienic.

Since he join COLOPL itself, who knows what he is working on. COLOPL has a "blockchain" games section, but they also own MAGES and 8-ing so 🤷‍♂️
