Edit: on second thought maybe not? I was thinking more along the lines of “talent wins” but the article doesn’t really go into a ton of historical detail unfortunately.

I thought it was weird when they said PSP won one year. I think based on this post they must mean 2010. But it also must've been one of those years where Famitsu had a really screwy definition for a year, because I've still got DS ahead if summing up all the weeks where 2010 was at least four of the days of the week.

IIRC Media Create had the PSP ahead of the DS in 2010.

One, I believe. 2023. I believe the Switch had been the best selling console in the U.S. from 2018 through 2022.

Although, if we look at software sales including digital sales from the eShop, I’m sure every system had software took up quite a few spots in the Top 20 the past few years and that the term “dominated” just wouldn’t ring as true for the U.S.

Japan has been noticeably dominated both in hardware and software by Nintendo for years now.
