In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 17 European eShop downloads for November 2021.

Unsurprisingly, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl topped the charts coming in at #1 and #2 respectively. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is also in the top five. Shin Megami Tensei V just misses out, coming in at #6.

1. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond
2. Pokémon Shining Pearl
3. Mario Party Superstars
4. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition
5. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
6. Shin Megami Tensei V
7. Minecraft
8. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
9. Unpacking
10. Among Us
11. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
12. Ruined King: A League of Legends Story
13. Stardew Valley
14. FIFA 22
15. Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story
16. Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu
17. Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee

yeah. everything above it honestly makes sense and was expected to do better, other than kotor. i didn't expect that one do that well on the 'itch.

It's a bit surprising, probably boosted by being console exclusive for now(?).

A bit surprised to see both Let's Go games charting. Boosted thanks to BDSP or what's the potential reason there?

It seems this ranking doesn't include anyone that used NSO vouchers, which bodes even better for SMTV.

Also pretty surprised and impressed by KOTOR doing that well. Damn good games and it's Star Wars but they're pretty dated too.

A few thoughts:
-SMTV is doing very well considering it's right behind the top juggernauts on the list. It's guaranteed to sell past a million units, making it the best-selling SMT game in franchise history. Good WoM is giving SMTV its Persona 3/FE Awakening moment.
-Metroid Dread is out of the charts after a month. It's a shame and while it's going to overtake Metroid Prime as the best-selling Metroid game in the series, people really overshot their predictions thinking that a 2D Metroid could sell 5 million units in its lifetime. Those sales are something Metroid Prime 4 has a possibility to achieve.
-KOTR performing very well shouldn't be a surprise. It's a classic and influential title with (timed?) console exclusivity. Star Wars and Nintendo have a long, strong history with each other and it's currently being somewhat underserved on Nintendo platforms. Since EA no longer has exclusive licensing rights to make AAA Star Wars titles, imagine if Nintendo produced a Star Wars game with a good budget?

Diablo II dropped out quickly. Who said there's no such thing as bad publicity? I'd love to get it at some point but with all the terrible stuff going on at Activision Blizzard I am in no rush. Want to support the developers (Vicarious Visions) but not Bobby Abusive Kotick.

This is disappointing for Dread imo. Of course the Pokémon remakes would take over the charts as soon as they launched, but i hoped that Dread would stay for at least another month or two (afaik it's off the charts in the US too). Will it be enough to surpass Prime's sales?

nah, the game holds up very well. the D20 gameplay is a bit obtuse, but it's easy to get through enough

SMTV selling up there.

Has to fight all the gods and demons and hits all the weaknesses for those extra SMT games press turns (come on Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 HD, new SMT spin offs, SMTV sequel etc. Gimme, gimme).

Definitely interested in picking up KOTOR at some point. I am curious about performance on the Switch, if it's a good port? Anyone know?
