My setup isn't really special. I have one main TV that I play my Xbox/PS on and a 19" tv I use for my Switch/retro systems. Not going to post any pics because they're not really special at all. This on the other hand...

At some point I intend to retake pictures since it's gone through a lot of changes but I am still waiting on a guy to finish some custom work before I really call it finished, but until then here is some stuff. This is about 13 years worth of effort with a lot of hidden stuff going on in the background of it all, but it's actually all functional and done so in a high fidelity, somewhat user friendly fashion to the best I could figure. It has always been a bit messy or out of sorts as I've moved to trying to finalize how I want it setup so you'll see evidence of disarray at times, but it's mostly clean and all functional these days.

Everything is ran through a Retrotink 5x (unless it's newer) so that's a pretty awesome little device I waited my whole hobby for, but all the displays and such can be disabled and enabled with a few button presses as well. I am about 250 titles shy of completing the retro aspect of my intended collection but a lot of them are on the pricey and/or rare side so it'll be awhile especially given the current market conditions. I am currently awaiting a F4F Mega Man figure which will go into the final display I plan to erect in this space, so I'm about all out of room and ideas :p

I've gathered and learned a ton about the hobby over this period and try to help other people figure stuff out, though I can't solve the issue of cost, one example is using the blue LED strips resulting in the washing out of wires making the entire setup look a bit cleaner than it would without any light or with a white light, lots of little stuff adds up though.

This is where I spend most of my time when Im home. I got this house 6 months ago so I'm still just beginning to decorate my office/gaming room.

This is incredible. I am in awe. :)

Hey since we had two of these threads, I've went ahead and merged them into one to avoid them running alongside but both were great so keep it up folks :)
Thank you :)

I might post living room photos when I have tidied it up. That’s where the xbox is :)

Nothing too fancy, but I don't have to feel bad sharing these when it's not the posters at ERA stealthbragging lol

Candid snap.

Currently have my Switch, Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, and SNES hooked up.
PS1, PS2, Megadrive, Xbox, Gamecube, and N64 are in the cupboard.
Please excuse the mess and the poor image quality, my phone is practically heritage listed, and I take to photography like a stegosaurus to figure skating.

Added some stuff for a new display today, still need to add a few more things and do some wire management but I think I have the idea down.

I also took some time today to add about 40 original GB titles to my cabinet, gonna be awhile to find the rest I want to find but I made sure to get a good shot this time.

ok, here we go, here's my basement. very much still a work in progress as we just moved here in may of 2020, so have painting to do, eventually want to upgrade the television set. the reason you don't see anything hooked up to the main tv is that it's all wired to a rack in my mechanical room.

audio setup is 5.4.2:
fronts - paradigm monitor 7 (2)
center - paradigm center 3
surrounds - paradigm atom monitor (2)
subwoofer - svs pb12-nsd (2)
atmos - paradigm p-65r (4)
receiver - denon avr x4700h

also in the rack i have a nvidia shield pro and a 31.4TB synology nas all hooked up to a network plex server.

tons of video game consoles ready to be hooked up whenever need on the rack, including old consoles via a retrotink 2x mini or through analogue fpga consoles.

hoping to upgrade a lot over the next year or two just looks wise in the room, but right now it does the job.

It's messy, but I'm proud of my stack. These are the very consoles I grew up with, not purchased later for collection purposes. These are my actual buddies.

Bumping this since I think it‘s a pitty we don’t have more showcases for how famiboards is setting up their (Nintendo) consoles.

Here‘s my setup, downgrading from earlier full surround, PS4 and Mini Consoles to only:
  • Switch OLED in lowboard (the Sakurai way ;) )
  • Pro Controllers with Smash handles (to match the OLED white)
  • 4 OLED white Joy Con (for those Switch Sports sessions, or Mario Party)
  • 8BitDo SN30 Pros (for the retro sessions)

Why ya getting rid of surround sound?

Why ya getting rid of surround sound?

Moved and my partner was never happy with all the speakers and cables. Then 2 little kids and I‘m glad when they sleep so I can’t turn up the volume anyways. The TV has quite solid speakers built in so it’s sufficient.

When I sold the speaker I had to get out a lot of toys out of the little bass reflex holes. I never noticed that our kid was using this as a treasure box but I was amazed what fits in 🥳

But it looked similar clean (I‘m kinda shocked by myself):

Shadow14, I love your table! Where did you get it from? I especially like the space for compact disks and the large bottle with something inside. I have no proper table in my room, and now I’m actively looking for one.
I want it to fit my dimensions and also look cool. I’d like something like this: https://eurekaergonomic.com/gaming-desk-l60-60-pink-l-shaped-left-еrk-l60l-pk/. What do you think about this one? I’m close to buying it, and I don’t care if it’s pink. It would look even cooler in pink color because I like anime.
Does anyone of you have any experience with such “gaming” tables?

I went with a vaguely retro arcade theme. (I have some more neon and a new ceiling fan coming.)

Mainly I just wanted a room that my 12 year old self would be envious of.
