from ZOOM Platform, which has a bit of interesting history behind it.

it was originally a digital distribution platform made in 2014 and headed by the late Bernie Stolar (really) with a general focus on retro games. basically like GOG, but not partially owned by a AAA game developer.
they've had some occasional exclusives, like various educational games by Knowledge Adventure. but they really popped off in 2022 with the addition of a full remaster of the cult classic adventure game The Space Bar, which initially shared the same publisher (SEGASoft) as Rocket Jockey.

all well and good, but the fact that it (a game originally released in 1997) was exclusive to a random digital distribution platform that can be best described as "bargain bin GOG" meant sales almost certainly were extremely low. and as such they've made the smart decision to also publish everything they own on Steam as well. with Space Bar making it's way there a year later.

as for this game in particular. it seems to be just a very basic re-release with only some light changes to ensure it runs on modern operating systems. and is paired up with a similarly light re-release of the adventure game Obƨidian.
