Isn't 616 the number of the beast? Something to do with a better translation being found in an Egyptian rubbish dump?

Probably thread ID? Maybe deleted threads or hidden threads or something else don't count towards the front page total

It was an earlier number, yeah, someone somewhere changed it to 666 later on and that's all that survived until recently.

It wasn't a translation issue though, both 616 and 666 date to when the Bible was in Greek.
