apparently, Atari bought the rights to the game at some point. as they are the ones who relisted the game on Steam.
they couldn't work out a deal with Gearbox to use the Duke Nukem IP. so Atari's solution was instead to create two new tables based off of Centipede and Missile Command.
particularly amusing considering the entire reason the collection was called "balls of steel" was to reference a quote from Duke.

note that this is a completely new table, and not a remake of the original Duke pinball table created for the Balls Of Steel compilation. despite what the autogenerated Youtube description would lead you to believe.
not sure what the legal situation for that is, but it's possible 3D realms still owns the non Duke Nukem tables included in the compilation.
