I took it and not only that, because you tried to make me feel bad/apologise with that loaded answer I'm going to cook it in such a way that it ends up dubious food out of pure spite

I took it by impulse and immediately put it back
I also took it by impulse but then when I saw what it was laying on I felt really bad. I wish I had thought to put it back but I forgot you could just drop items that are in your inventory 😅

Of course I didn't. You monsters.
Where/what is this? If this is a spoiler the thread title gives no idea
This is something you can find near the start of the game in the ruins of Castle Town. It's very minor and not a mandatory moment/one that advances the plot, but it's also very touching. It's a memorial to the victims of the Calamity, written by Zelda, and she was presumably the one who put the Silent Princess there. The Silent Princess is potentially the first you can see in the game, and it's technically there for the taking...but you wouldn't want to do that, right?

This is nothing, I took some kid's arrows in Rito village and she pitted me for needing them more than her and let me keep them. I have no shame.

There will be more dead people if you don't take the flower

To be honest, with the ecological damage my Link will have been wrecking through Hyrule in both these games if left unchecked, Ganon(Dorf)s blood moons are the only thing standard between Hyrule and complete ecological collapse.

And we're supposed to pretend he's the villain.

I took it but it did make me feel like Larry David when he took those flowers from funkhouser’s memorial for his mom

I am more than 60 hours in and never seen this

Funniest thing is that I even explored Castle Town Ruins as one of the first things, the same as many others.

Take it.
Then drop a Bokoblin horn on it.

Show them that you're working on avenging them all.

I left it be. I already had a ton of Silent Princesses in my inventory when I came across it anyway.

Pretty sure you just get a normal prompt to pick up. I did it before I even saw a prompt to read the slab.
Yes, that's how I managed to accidentally pick it up 😅
There's also at least one more of these on the map, I think. Swear I saw one at the site of a battle.
At the very least. I already have a couple in my inventory and I only visited Castle Town once.

Oh, I meant the memorial slab. There's plenty of the flowers - there's even a fairly good sized patch of them somewhere in the south I think, on a mound in a marsh.
OH!! 😅

Neat, I haven't seen a whole patch of the flowers yet, I'll keep an eye out.
