2022 was another blockbuster year for Nintendo, particularly in Canada. We’re so proud that the Nintendo Switch and our IP (intellectual property) resonate really strongly with Canadians. We just set a new record as the number one selling video game hardware system for the fifth consecutive year. And in the all-important holiday season, October through December, Nintendo Switch was the number one video game hardware platform.

Seems like the Switch has secured itself a really dominant position in Canada, which of course is in keeping with Nintendo's previous success in the region. I can only hope this is success Nintendo can build on going forward, rather than messing up their generational transitions (which is incidentally a topic, among many others, that is broached in the interview in the source; I encourage you to read the whole thing, it's very interesting across the board).
