'Friends' Star Matthew Perry Dead at 54 After Apparent Drowning

Matthew Perry drowned to death Saturday, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Not many details yet, but he seems to have drowned at his home. Matthew Perry’s character Chandler in Friends was always easily my favorite growing up and probably influenced my sense of humor. RIP

Not a Friends fan but it was obviously a humongous show and he was very talented.

I guess he battled a lot of demons but probably helped a lot in the same boat.

There are so many episodes etched in my memory with countless Chandler quotes. Helped me laugh during my kid and teen years.

Tragic especially with his long battle with addiction. I always felt Perry took the Friends character that, on paper, could be the most obnoxious, but made him arguably the most likable and funniest. Too young all in all.
