There's different synopsis going around but in short:
In “Kung Fu Panda 4,” Po is set to become the new spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace, but before he can do that, he must find a successor to become the new Dragon Warrior.
-The apprentice character is named Zhen/Chen, a fox with promising abilities and potential who doesn't get along with Po at first.
-Eventually, they go together to a big city
-New main villain is the Chameleon, a shape-shifting sorceress who has the ability to bring back villains from past Kung Fu Panda films (seems Tai Lung, Shen and Kai are all returning)
A Twitter leaker who got most of the plot right 15 days ago gave casting info, take this with a grain of salt:
The fox, a thief, is played by Awkwafina
The Chameleon is played by Kate McKinnon

The series is very much among DreamWorks Animation's crown jewels, along with the Dragons trilogy. It features tightly executed plots (every movie clocks at 90-95 minutes and is perfectly paced), very emotional stories, and amazing fight scenes and art direction. It very much stands out among western animation.
