Film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Official Trailer

Damn that's a GOOD TRAILER. Hope we get back to some good Indy action.

Only thing I'm thinking right now is how good The Force Awaken's final trailer was...

I'm going to have Lucasfilm on speed dial.

Also, I haven't watched the trailer yet but I hope Indy is still fighting Nazis, in particular NASA Nazis.

Can't believe it's actually happening. Can't wait, looks like a lot of fun.

Really curious to see what Ford does with Indy this time around.

No Shia , automatically 100% more excited, then watched the trailer to increase 300% excitement points.

So, just to go against the grain here:

This is an incredibly cliched trailer that pulls all the regular moves to try and make things seem nostalgic and epic.

  • Slow piano intro
  • Slowed down version of the main theme with "le epic" drums behind it
  • Cameo from beloved character and constant callbacks to things people liked in the previous films
  • "Those days have come and gone." One last ride out for our big heroes, my what a big deal this must be...

The overuse of green screen and CGI is ugly, and those de-aging effects look uncanny as hell.

It looks like Crystal Skull all over again.

It doesn’t look like a train wreck, yet, but they are going to have some serious suspending of disbelief with Old Indy.

I like it, feels authentic to the feel of the original. A kind of wonder about the ancient past and history all mashed together

Raiders and Crusade are two of my all-time favorite movies so I really, really hope this is good. Unlike Star Wars Ford actually gives a shit about this franchise so I'm hopeful he brings his A game. James Mangold has some certified bangers under his belt too so fingers crossed.

This looks surprisingly not bad? Although it's going to be a bit hard to buy Indy being this active at his age. Still, love seeing John Rhys-Davies again. I'm (very) cautiously optimistic, and I hope this can recapture some of the pure adventure fun that Crusade was.

This will be the one to tip the scales of Indiana Jones.

Will it have more bad movies, or more good movies?

I can't believe this cast. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Toby Jones, Mads Mikkelsen! aaa!

Looks promising.

Dial of Destiny is a terrible name. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and even Crystal Skull are all names that evoke excitement, pulp adventure, light up the imagination. Dial of Destiny just makes me think of an old phone. Awful.

Dial of Destiny sounds like the abbreviation of it's own title.

Indiana Jones And The Quest For The Dial Of Destiny sounds like an Indiana Jones film.

Indiana Jones And The Hunters Of The Dial Of Destiny.

Indiana Jones And The Island of the Dial of Destiny.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is just... Ok?

Looks fine. Not terribly invested in the series since I always thought of them as just middle tier Spielberg flicks (ie. good yet nothing mindblowing) but I'll still watch it.

I personally think Raiders of the Lost Ark is one the greatest films of all time. I'm not sure why this new trailer isn't doing it for me. It doesn't look terrible, but something about it makes me indifferent. I'll go in with reasonable expectations and wish for the best though!

Definitely not a fan of the name though. Raiders of the Lost Ark? Iconic. Temple of Doom? Sign me up! Even Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is mysterious and intriguing.

These movies are a guilty pleasure of mine. You bet I will be there day 1 with Doctor Jones left/ right hooking everyone! Turn the brain off and enjoy the movie, that’s what you have to do with these flicks.
