Tried that. I played refund tennis with a customer service rep who kept lobbing policy shots back. I got nowhere even after "escalation". But you're right--whole industry is rotten in regard to refunds..

Unfortunately, Nintendo UK do not have any phone numbers listed on their contact us page. Just a webform and then wait for a response. You can then engage with the rep by email. I might see if I can find a number somewhere.
